[edit]i can open the realmlist file now and ive added a realm to it but when i open WoW it tries to download the updates

is there a guide to getting onto privet servers around?

i dunnu about this, but you can get WoW private servers, o.0 anyone tell me where to go to get em please?

All that you have to do is edit the Realmlist to say "set realmist *IpOfServer*" as long as you've done this right then it shouldn't download the official updates. If you want to find a server use http://www.wowstatus.net/serverlist.php

What are private servers like because when i last looked into them they were kinda naff, have there been any major advancements?

Last time I checked they have the 1.9.2 patch. The real version of WoW is 1.9.3

Evildan, make sure you have the right version of the game. And the private server you are connecting to should of have a guide anyways.

finding 1 with a good latency is hard
