Xbox 360 Problems

Hey guys.

Today ive had to call Microsoft about my 360, it randomly keeps freezing sometimes 5 minutes into a game and other times a few hours. I found the tech guide on the Xbox support site did what it siad and still getting problems, so I called them. The guy on the phone was friendly enough, but it came accross as a common problem, just wondering if any of you lot have had the same problem? Also makes me wonder what problems there will be when the PS3 and Revalution come out.

PS3 end of the year, and Wii I dunno.


Have you tried open the case and directing a fan at it? I believe a lot of problems are heat related, I would also recommend taking the heatsinks off and applying thermal grease like arctic silver 5 and reseating the heatink.

I would but that would invalidate my warranty, they are picking it up today for repair, let them do the work ^^.

u know that over 50% of those 360's that were bought were all faulty lol and i find it a waste of money, at least untill Halo3 comes out anyway :P

The console is not a waste of money. As I said ive called Microsoft and they handled my case very well, they have sent me a new console with a new firmware version on the DVD Rom, you cant get much better than that.

Yea, but to be fair there shouldnt be these problems seeing as they tested the consoles for quite some time.

They have shown they can correct problems with haste, but the problems shouldnt be occuring

Id also like to add, they dont usualy give new consoles straight out inless they know they'v messed up with them.

P.S Think ill get ps3 about 3 months after its out, to get rid of its everyone sell them on ebay for £600 phase which it will have like the x-box did.

Anyone know any big titles what only Ps3 can have and x-box cannot?
(Meaning Halo 3, X-Box will only have.)
Are there anything amazing for Ps3?
As i did hear all games have gone multi platform.
But Microsoft own Halo the *******s and cant see them giving it to ps3.

Take it you don't know about the problems that the PS2 had when it first came out? I was speaking with the owner of a local games shop yesterday about it, hes dreading the release of the PS3, as he said there will be way more bugs than with the 360, just an opinion .

Actually the number of faulty ones was in the normal limit, which is either 3 or 10% (can't remember which one lol)

well im in no rush for either of these but ill get the 360 most probably just for halo3
