I was interested in doing this as i've gotten too used to playing games with xbox pad and xbox games are rediculously overpriced!

However many new games (Arkham Asylum, for example, which is a good game btw) on the PC can be played with an xbox pad, which is what I do. Having good gaming rig and usenet, I now have no use for my xbox as I just play them on my PC... Which reminds me I must stop paying for xbox live.

I do however buy PC games which I wish to play online with (I've bought CoD:WaW for both Xbox and PC!)

Use X-Clamp and the penny trick together, thats garanteed success.. but of course you still want to overheat your GPU at least once to reset the heat sensors.

Problem with the towel trick is it can totally screw ur xbox altogether. As it overheats and the solder can melt and just cause you more problems...

Even the X-clamp is not 100% gunna work nothing is 100% gunna stay fixed or work and you can still get banned off xbox live even playing chipped games if u aint smart... Its just a case of when the ban hammer comes around...

Smart way to do it is dont put in HDD when playing games that aint out yet get a memory card and use that to save games on and everything... But from what i can remember u cant use your gamertag with memory card so wouldnt get the points..

You can use mem card for tags just not that much space even playing backups using mem card they know as milo said its saved too the NAND chip which uploads too m$ (i think) so people using mem card or removing hdd should'nt bother waste of time has no effect.
