Your help please

Hi, i just ran my server for the first time. Every thing seemed to work until i logged on. My characters hair was deformed (half hair and half no hair), on the map i was on, there were random blocks of black, and some of these blocks were parts from other maps on this map The NPCs and my character were flashing and dissapearing and re-appearing, and the weapon images did not correspond to the actual weapon. For example, a wooden sword looked like an MP drug and a dragon sword looked like a mage staff. (The images of items in my bag and on my character window were all wrong)
And i'm sure other things will be pretty messed up too. I think the problem is something obvious that i've overlooked but i don't want to mess with files incase i make the problem any worse.
So if anybody could help me with this then i'd appreciate it very very much! :angel:

Hmm your data files are proberly corrupt m8, or you have old versions. Try downloading some from the newer server patches and placing them in your data folder, if it doesn't work then you will have to re download mir 1.4 m8. And btw you need to get the tiles.wil to fix your map problem =) gl.

Hi thanks for your reply. When you say the data must be corrupted i'm confused, what data do you mean exactly? If you mean the data in the legend of mir folder then i'm unsure if it is corrupted or not ( the normal mir runs fine using this data) and if not that data then what data? sorry i'm so confused.

Thats the default location.

I though so, but why does this data work on Legend of mir but not on my server? surely if they were corrupt then they wouldn't work on either?

Also, where can i find tiles.wil for my maps?

M8 you cannot use the legendofmir 1.7 files for private mir. Please download the mir1.4 exe its on a sticky at the top of this forum

I'm using the 1.4 server files from fernys, are these not the right one's or something?

Yes, but you need the 1.4 client, since the client has to match the server files. Theres a link in the stickies in this forum section.
