I'm with Vann on this one.

It's perfectly possible to be a middle man to the world around you, personally I don't take anything as fact unless it is 100% backed up or I have seen it with my own eyes. This includes 'media brainwashing', and includes pathetic propaganda/conspiracy theories. Half the time if you actually research the claims they are making for yourselves you will realise that they are factually incorrect (dates, names, timelines etc), a trip to the library would bode you well.

Furthermore, who really gives a ****?

You don't need to opt from blindly following a government to blindly following an individual, you just need to know that both are ****ing you over and that neither give a **** about you, simple really. Sitting on either side just makes you either a) a blind follower to a country that doesn't give a crap about you, only what you provide for it or b) a blind follower to an individual wanting to be known as a revolutionist so he can be marked in history. When it comes to the world and other people's lives, you're better off making your own decisions and having a bit of common sense.

Then again, I guess that's the difference between the high populous of humans who have been and always will be through generations classed as followers, or sheep. You've just decided to follow a different theory than most, congratulations. Whether it's right or not is pretty unimportant to you or your family. People will always lie, you've lied. Uncovering lies only further proves that humanity will always lie. It's not going to change unless we are all eradicated. You're allowed to lie but your government isn't? Rofl. Typical human behaviour.

Get over yourselves and go back to your own lives. If you’re so concerned about the lies blanketed over you then by all means go and set up a tent on an ungoverned (good luck) piece of land somewhere and live like a third world citizen. You’ll find that putting up with the normalities of the human mentality when given power is a small price to pay for a life of luxury.

Why would I watch propaganda? I have my own opinions thanks. I'm not that dead set on arguing my point, it's not like any of you would listen. I don't know the subject matter, but it's bound to be about politics/economy/philosophy.

If anything I said what I said to let Vann know we're not all brainwashed monkeys that follow the next trend in propaganda theories. Or follow them so blindly that we try and convince everyone else of it too.

If I were to watch it I'd watch it with an objective-defensive perception anyway, because I know what these videos are and how they work. It's getting you to question something, right? Asking you why something is how it is, and why it should be like that? Maybe even changing your own and others perception, taking some action? Solve the problem, own the problem, become part of the solutio..blahblahblahblah bollocks. The way we are is the way we are because of the way we are. You can't change the world because the world doesn't want to be changed. It's very very simple. We don't live in an ideal world, we never have lived in an ideal world and we never will. We cause destruction and then try to fix our destruction, that's how we work. It won't be fixed until we break it, and until we're fully broken people don't care about a fix.

By all means though, continue your little parade and let the whole world watch the video and watch while nothing changes. We are who we are, and we've made what we've made. I’m not a pessimist, I’m a realist. The reality is we’re not part of a civilization that works in the ideal these videos project.

The video is about the economy... So no conspiracy theory.

Well someone in this thread suggested "they assassinated the president" so there must be conspiracy theories embedded in the video, to probably escalate a message of... let me take a guess, how bad the economy is and how good it could have been/could be if we only did X? How people are trying to promote the economy we already have (conspiracies), specifically governments, large organisations? How people with power manipulate the stock market, etc etc etc?

It doesn't really take a genius to look at something, poke flaws in it, shove in a few facts and say how good it could be. The economy is the way it is because of the way humans are, we are a capitalist species interested only in power. You might not think you are, your buddy who writes propaganda and conspiracy theories might pretend not to be. But even if we all sit around shouting ideals and how we 'could' live in a certain way, your co-habitants of this world also have a say in how things go... and as sad as it may be humanity can only work by having an economy that maliciously eats away at resources, lives and the earth. Much like the way in which humanity works... funny that, isn't it?

Sure, when the economy collapses (and it will some day), humanity will re-think the system... but it won’t be ideal, it will be the next step towards consuming, creating and destroying in the fastest possible way.

As an aside, I just went to the zeitgeist website and clicked "important reference sources" and found myself looking at a list of three books.

A three item bibliography, for a 2 hour long 4 part documentary.

To put things in perspective, I am currently writing a short essay for my history course that requires at minimum a 15 item bibliography to be considered sufficiently well researched.

ahahahahaha

Oh yes thats because people are lining up to reveal the secrets of area 51... Look.. Until you actually bother watching the video, neither you or Sawell are in any single position to critisize the film, infact, you are both idiots for the simple fact you are aguring a case over a movie you have not watched...

The president assination is not a conspiracy theory its commenting on public information and linking them to the economy, IE... Sadam Hussain, now its very evident and clear the benefits that was gained since his overturn (IE, OIL).. the film is mentioning this coinciding with presidents whom actually give a **** and are sadly given options to do X or recieve X.. there is no conspiracy theory involved.

Watch.

It's a two hour piece of propaganda based off three sources, and after his last film I'm pretty sure this guy has nothing worthwhile to say.

Actually to be honest I tried watching it but it's so dry and monotonous you'd have to be autistic to sit through the whole thing but I'll keep it in mind the next time I can't sleep

oh man, three sources and you fell for it hook line and sinker

ahhhahahahahahaaha unbelievable
