Zircon randomly minimizes

Hi guys,

I've been holding off on posting this since I started last week hoping it would stop on its own, but its becoming really irritating.

At random intervals (mostly within an hour or so of my laptop being booted up) my client minimizes itself, sometimes to tell me there's an software update, and sometimes for literally no reason. And I mean as if I've pressed the window key with no other programs booting up or messages about updates etc. Cost me massive exp yesterday as a wiz was lvling me, missed out on a big lure in deserted 3rd.

I'm no techie so I'm not sure what to do, is there an option to have the client 'keep on top' of any update messages or other programs etc?

Zircon doesn't check if there any any updates.

This is not caused by Zircon, I suspect that there is another program causing the issue.

Next time you get such a message send upload a screenshot to www.imgur.com I'll be able to assist you further.

1st. It's a good laptop but it's a shame that it doesn't have a dedicated graphics card. This might hinder your performance and lower your FPS in caster-heavy zones such as Hyunmoon or big guild fights. This is definitely not a gaming laptop so I wouldn't force it to play newer games.

2nd. Press the windows key and write Windows Update -> Make sure your OS is up to date, new PCs require a lot of updates.

3rd. In the link you gave us it says that the laptop includes McAfee -> Get rid of that s**t ASAP as it is a very aggresive "antivirus" and might be the cause of your issues. You don't need to install any antivirus as Windows Defender will replace McAfee as soon as your uninstall it (you can check if it's enabled by pressing windows key -> write "windows defender"

I had a similar issue for my server. the client would just randomly minimise, it was my antivirus taking control and forcing itself to be priority (i ditched that shiz instantly and just use MS security essentials now, its all u need tbf)

If you run msconfig in the run command box and choose "startup" can you list whats shown?

Have you checked Windows Update Assistant?
I play on a minix box (more of a streaming device but does the job)
and recently one of the windows 10 updates couldn't be installed due too system partition not being big enough, anyway for the next week couple of times a day windows update assistant would minimize mir or kodi sometimes pop up a 'could not install' but sometimes it wouldn't???

0 point playing on that, 2 tempest you'll have about 5 FPS. Even with a fairly good graphics card i can drop below 100 in mass lure in Hyunmoon that cave needs magic attacks needs looking at makes me drop about 900FPS lol.

@piff tbh its not that bad, the client runs perfectly smooth for me. My old laptop however (played mir 2/3 for 8 years on it) would have a seizure if there was 7-8 tempest laid!
