After the "fiasco" of the last update, there have been some changes made to the developing process of the server. In an attempt to streamline the feedback from users into meaningful changes, we've decided to allow the users to have more control over the changes made in-game.
How this works is as follows;
No updates will be made for the Server until a thread on these forums (and a link to it from Discord) has been created. This will be an ongoing process that will pool each and everyones suggestions on what needs changing, fixing, or outright removing. After a while of cherrypicking the most thought out and constructive posts, the update will then go on as planned with the thread in mind.
There will be a seperate thread for balance changes, because we all know the chaos that comes along with discussion of balance in Mir - this makes it easier for us to discern who is arguing about what and we can focus on the individual aspects of the game. This thread will be very closely monitored for bias; especially if anyone attempts to bring up guild drama as a justification for changes. You will be ignored if you do this.
There will be some ground rules put in place. Anyone posting needs to give constructive reasoning behind their intended change. Posts that simply say "do this" will be deleted and ignored and anyone trolling promptly removed from any further discussion of changes. Anyone posting also needs to include their Character name and level on the server with every post. Anyone failing to do so will be removed from the discussion. This forum is prone to a number of people with toxic intent, and we have the right to remove them from the discussion. Feel free to edit this into your signature on these forums to avoid having to constantly repost it.
It is our hope that we can make the game more enjoyable for everyone, rather than a select few. Lastly I feel it is important to note that the loudest voice will not necessarily be the one heard. So do not feel like your input is wasted among the chasm of opinions that will inevitably fill the threads.
I'll be creating the two threads shortly. Feel free to gather your thoughts in the meantime and think truly about how you'd make the server better, not just for yourself, but for everyone.
Thanks for taking the time to read, any further questions feel free to post them here.
