Wizzes already **** as they are
no need to nerf them !!! I'm done with this game don't know why I even donated back to another server

If they were why didnt you just re roll as soon as you realised this? You dont have to just be a wiz. Ive always thought they were ****. But thats just my personal opinion.

Realistically all this affects is the ability to firewall more mobs at once for a long period of time . Firewall is crazy good I have 45 mc at level 33 with level 1 firewall and I can say I'm very happy with it , with more MC and level 3 FW ican imagine it would be OP

Wizzies have always been crap until level 3 FF / Blizz / Met. That's when the cries of "omg wizzies op pls nerf" will inevitably come.

I'm new to wiz, i played warr back in day and i play tao ever since on private servers and i'm slamming it atm and can't find a real problem.

In respects to pvp everything looks fine but it's gonna require some effort because ofc you need lvl 3 skills, so many people moaning when they have lvl 1 of a skill warrs and wiz especially you just expect to be suitable for pvp and boss hunting right off the bat.

Quit wiz pls i wants to be special ;p

further more, When you CAST firewall, any and all previous firewalls have their duration reduced by 1 tick (approximately 1 ~ 2 seconds).

I don't suppose this mechanic could be resetting the timer before the next tick on a mob that is stood in the FWall? ie, the mob takes damage every say 1sec, but after 0.5sec a new Fwall is cast, reducing the duration by one, but also setting the damage timer back to 1sec?

I know I've had issues like that in my code before where reducing a duration messed up the current timing. I haven't looked at the mir2 engine, so I'm not sure if it would work like here, but it's a possibility?

impossible, I only change "remaining tick count" and nothing to do with "next tick time".

depends if flinch breaks the casting and ruins the spell! If so, then pointless spells - classic 1 spell late game, blizzard...spam that ****!!!

ps jamie, grab a hold of portal spell mate :D

Timings were changes so it can last no shorter than 5 seconds, and no Longer than 60 seconds. (This only effected those thigh HIGH MC which you do not have).

I have 15-51mc,and have noticed a huge change in FW duration (even when I only have 3-4 firewalls up at once, some are lasting less than 10secs).

I don't consider my MC to be particularly high, so by what you said, the debuff shouldn't be effecting me? Or have I misread?

Damage is the same, but our DPS goes down quite a bit becauce we are constantly having to recast FW, stopping us from casting other damage dealing spells.

An idea might be to make it so wizzys can cast a max of 5 FWs, when they cast a 6th the 1st 1 disapears. But keep the duration how it was before.

Firewall still seems fine to me, noticeable difference since the update but it was a bit OP before tbh. Firewalling whole maps isn't exactly fair lol

Wizz perspective,

I think the nerf was partially needed i guess? but the nerf was too big imo.

this sounds a bit better, maybe 6 though.

thread title clearly asks a question

clearly gets ignored by gm.

can one of the gm's brown nose bum licks ask the same question please?

'Whats the reasoning behind nerfing wizard fwall?''

Talk about over bloody reacting.

There was NO change to the damage or how the damage is calculated.

The answer is there, although it not be plain as day, I'm sure you can come to a reason...

Hint, it lasted too long, and was being spammed...

your not stupid, so let me explain this to you ;

If firewall is now lasting less time when casting multple firewalls, our DPS has and will take a hit, someone mentioned that because we are having to refresh firewalls we are spending less time casting our offensive spells (IceStorm / FF / Firebang / Lightning), thus losing dps.

So yes, the actual 'damage' of firewall is indeed the same, but our OVERALL dps, is significantly lower, couple this with the idiot flinch changes that were made last week, add into the mix that sins have no cooldown on swiftfeet, add again the fact sins gain all their natural stats from helmet/armor/weapons (ACC/AGIL), oh and that stick the ever so small but very noticeable FF delay (Yes i know its shorter than euro, but its still significantly more than other servers over the past X years) and what you have is a wiz class who feels **** (Some people will disagree)

I give up. stop moaning your making the chances of it changing slimmer and slimmer.

If there is a clear and definitive issue with it, it will be changed. Be a warr and then comeback and complain about your fwall.

People have a right to moan when the goal posts get changed after the match has started.
