This update has been postponed, I may still consider this system at a later date .

Requirements
  • Level 50.
  • Not wearing any equipment, (Items without requirements are fine, EG Candle)
  • You cannot be a Mentor.
  • Must not have rebirth status
  • Cost
    • 100 Legendary Fragments.
    • 100 Mythical Fragments.
    • 100 Benediction Oils.
    • 10 Million Gold.

Bonuses
  • Rebirth Status/Effect.
  • Increased Drop rate.
  • Increased Added rate.
  • ALL Base Stats are double. (HP, MP, Accuracy, Agility, AC, MAC, DC, MC, SC)
  • Special Rebirth Stat Selection at rebith.
  • Example Special Rebirth Stats (More but not going to reveal just yet)
    • Chance to obtain a Boss Soul, which allows you to spawn that boss.
    • "Revival Ring" effect with 30 minute cooldown.
  • Rebirth Only added item stats.
  • Example Rebirth Item Stats (More but not going to reveal just yet)
  • Increased chance to have monsters Spawn near you.
  • Decreased chance to have monsters Spawn near you.
    • % Increased damage to monsters
    • % Decreased damage from monsters.
    • Increased Agro range for monsters
    • Decreased Agro range for monsters.
  • Special Rebirth Charms (Paralysis, Protection, Teleport, Clear and more) (Monsters ONLY where applicable)
  • Rebirth only drops.
  • Rebirth only items.
  • Rebirth only visible mobs.
  • Increased HP and MP Regeneration.
  • Can use Town Teleport Scroll.


Penalties
  • You cannot gain Experience in group (This includes Mentor)
  • You have 50% reduced Experience rate.
  • There is a chance to lose 1~20% of current experience on death (reduced chance from PK).
  • Cannot use Sun Potions.

Mechanics
  • You will maintain all of you skills and their levels.
  • You will not be able to use the skills until you meet the level 1 Requirement, Example, You can use Level 3 FlameSword at level 35 (Assuming it was level 3 before Rebirth).

Reasons to add rebirth
  • Reuse old content
  • Keep players similar levels
  • Encourage people to level to 50
  • Mainly aimed for the grinders.

Great if you are an absolute geek who has the time to get to 50. Needs more for the 1-45 casual players. This is going to be good for like 5 % of the players, and I know a few people that are stopping at 48 anyway just because they don't have the time.

Also no sunpot use? Is there a replacement? Most people here survive purely on sunpot spam.

I understand that,

An Alternative if I was to make it so you can rebirth at level 45+, I'd need to adjust the Base Stat mechanic and base it on the level you re birthed at.

No replacement to the Sun Pots as they would have slightly higher regen and a bigger HP pool.

Not really a fan.

The few people who will take advantage of this are the ones who can geek to lvl 50 in a much shorter period of time than anyone else.

Not only will they gain access to these additional base stats/items they will probably get back to 50 before some regular users hit that level.

No offence Jamie , i like the server as it is but rebirth will probly just fk up the server in my eyes , i know what happent with another server that had rebirth sistem didnt really went well...and like i already spoke with some friends about this none like`s the ideea and wont rebirth.

If rebirthing is added, particularly in the fashion outlined here, I personally am done with the server (which would mean I'd be done with Mir altogether for probably a few more years. Not quite ready to depart again yet :P). Everybody who had something to say about this on our guilds comms said the same, and the few that said they'd stay still thought negatively of it.

I'm not knocking it simply because I'd never reach lv.50 to be able to rebirth (I've played 2 weeks and am getting through lv.44, I certainly probably could and may get there... Eventually...). I'll bullet point my thoughts else the post will become too long:


  • It's inaccessible to the majority of the playerbase (although not necessarily a bad thing, it can be good to have things seperating the few from the many sometimes)
  • It's disgustingly unbalanced. Double HP, Accuracy and Agility (not even considering the rest of the stats here) will mean that to a rebirthed player, everyone else is like a mob. As if this isn't already somewhat the case: Tzuk 3shot me yesterday, and I'm hearing reports of the high wizzies taking over half of a well geared lv.47 Warrior's HP in one FF.
  • Leveling rebirthed would be ****ing boring, due to being unable to gain XP in a group. Not to mention this being naturally advantageous to wizzies.
  • Extremely easily exploitalble. No grouping allowed? Cool, let's exploit the tagging system to depleat a shitload of mob HP's and have the rebirthed guy 1 shot em all.

I, personally have always hated para rings and protection rings in Mir. Let's have an item granting a completely brokenly unbalanced mechanic, and make it super rare (who thought of this really?)! But I actually like your idea to add these stats to droppable charms and make them only applicable to monsters.

But yeah, there's already very powerful players in-game, some of whom have no lives and others who pay levelers to grind their char. You're suggesting to add a feature to the game that makes them a hell of a lot stronger, whilst making their leveling experience absolutely ****ing boring (no grouping) further pushing them to pay levelers. I just don't get it.

Not to mention, this feature would negate the need to add further content to the game (no, this isn't content).

This is the best Mir private server I've ever played, I'm having a great time on it. This feature would absolutely **** on it for me, and I'd drop it in an instant if it was added. "I'm leveling to lv.50 so I can do it all over again but solo this time", uhhm... No thanks. I don't care how OP I'd be, I wouldn't endure such a bore just for that.

I think the name of this should be changed to something more appropriate if it were to be added: God status.

Not worth it for sure, cant level in group, cant use sunpotions and chance to loose xp on death? why would anyone rebirth lol? I sure as hell wouldn't thats just being honest. You have some nice Pro's but the Con's **** on them tbh

I could get on board with the 45+ as its alot more reachable for the casual players. People above that could start with a boost maybe? (exp / better items), based on the extra levels they have now? So they dont lose out, thats if they even rebirth anyway. Group exp penalty seems abit tough, maybe just a reduction so they can still level with the group but at a massively reduced rate? Group banter is fun after all.

As for the no suns, what about gin's? are they usable still?

Dont loke the idea of rebirth on a lowrate server. The stats and effects sound cool, but would much rather see them used in other ways, for example boss dropping pots that give 1 stat/effect for 12 hours or so.

Or class specialization at level 45+ wjere you can pick a stat per level or something. But not rerolling levels.

Also no exp in a group will just make people get bored of the game faster. Either lower levels will get bored of the rerolled people not coming on guild hunts, or the high levels will get bored of being loners

Agreed rebirth system is last thing the server needs to be honest, more progression to entice people to level 50+ in general seems more of a nicer incentive. Rebirth in honesty usually comes across as a here today gone tomorrow kinda server feature, my best advice Jamie is just expand past level 50 as similar to what chronicles did.

For me as a warr i struggle to level because i see no new cool spells past level 44 lol where as every other class does but thats another conversation.

Rebirth system is a big no no. Might as well add a cave with the monster named "Exp". Never touched a server with rebirth system in place and never will. Its the tell-tale sign of a crap server.

Server doesnt need this imho , the game is progressing nicely as it is, event is keeping things fun , ghost BDD has barely come into play.

Its a low/medium rate, just keep things ticking over for a while, atm you have 6/7 people 50/close to 50 , across a usercount of 150.


No rush

There's plenty of things that people would rather see come into game.. like KC said people have barely ventured into ghost atm.
