People seem to be miss understanding the drop system / Guaranteed mechanic.
3 Important thing to remember.
- Nothing resets EVER.
- Only your Drops effects you.
- The system is per Item per Account (All characters share the same progress)
Drop chances are Percentages, Examples 1/1 = 100%, 1/10 = 10%, 1/50 = 2%, 1/1000 = 0.1%.
For Example, 1/100,000 for 'Claw Of The Demon God' from 'Icy Ranger' which is 0.001%.
Solo with 80% Drop rate you will have 0.0018% Chance (1/55,555)

The base chance is then modified by Group Rate and Bonuses.
X People in party = X * Harder
1 of each class = +10%
2 of each class = +20%
3 of each class = +30%
4 people in party with 1 of each class will look as follows.
1/100,000 * 4 = 1/400,000
Bonus Drop rate from Group = +10%
This chance if then Modified by your Drop rate, If you have +80% Drop rate:
+10% * +80% = +98% Drop rate (110% * 180% = 198%)
1/400,000 -> 0.00025% -> +98% Drop rate -> 0.000495% (1/202,020)
So your chance of getting 'Claw Of The Demon God' in a group of 4 (1 of each class) with 80% Drop Rate from an 'Icy Ranger' is 1/202,020.
This final chance (0.00495%) is all that matters to you. (Note that Drop Chance is still 10% Better than solo, it's just split equally across group members).
So What do we do with this Final Chance?
We look up the records for 'Claw Of The Demon God' on the account.
We add the Final Chance to our current progress, 23.1443% + 0.00495% -> 23.14925%.
When this Progress hits 100% we check to see if the player should have had this item dropped for THEM, if the player has NOT had this item dropped for THEM it will forcefully drop.
We do NOT ever reset progress or Drop count, its a continuous running counter.
When we hit 200%, if the player has NOT has this Item dropped Twice the system will forcefully drop how ever many we need to drop to get to 2.
