I quit this server a few months ago because it was just getting silly. In the last alpha test before launch I was under the impression Jamie was aiming for something close to Korean official. Low to medium rate. Balanced classes items drops etc and was really excited to play.
After playing the server for 5-6 weeks I realised it was simply broken, and no amount of talking to Jamie changed that.
Elemental stacking on items, hermit stack on element, adv pig, 10% crit pig + crit on items. Magic evasion, agility and a host of stuff that is vital to the fundimentals of the game. Broken skills in pvp/pve the caps on skill damage on some classes and not others, master refine system, broken talismans. The list is endless.
What lvl are players now 100+ took less than 6 weeks to have lvl 73, when it should take close to a year to get 50 Korean official content stops at lvl 95 caves items skills. I might as well go play zenraur.
During alpha I told Jamie that many of the caves were broken with mechanics, that would allow classes to piss all over them with the right kits/pet, too early game. The ability to teleport on maps and easily find subs/bosses geo, beckon, swallow over walls. Do Taos need a teleport skill too ?
Warriors in lvl 65 caves taking 0 damage at lvl 58. I can tell you at lvl 95, with lvl 90 armour and superior emblem of mastery you will still take damage in these caves. Assassins without life steal lvling solo without Taos, advanced bloody flower

wait till they get aoe skills. The highest crit class can go full mana d/c. Lifesteal was to nerf the classes damaged. Tao aoe skill at lvl 24. who needs powerful single target 65 skill when you can do 200x5-6 or will that be aoe too. Tao pets that don't scale with element/sc/level, Hp not explosion. Wizard tempest with + 70-80 element, reno and advanced reno, pro ring anyone

Wait till wizards get meteor strike, bigger aoe than tempest, and shower. See if your adv +5 mr 100 is any protection. More balancing will need to be done after these skill are introduced, let alone the combo/charge IP skills
The advanced spells just made things worse, I understand his thoughts on removing life steal as this was simply a broken mechanic from the get go. Taoists are supposed to be a support class, you don't give warriors bigger pots so they can level without, and you don't give sins life steal skill. Is spirit set in game yet because because I'd like to see a wiz with crit 70% wipe everyone in a guild war 1vs100.
Game balance is the most important thing in any mmo that has multi classes. I have no idea what jamie changed recently as I no longer play, but guess it was another brain fart without thinking or testing first.
One thing that was made clear to me from alpha was that Jamie only listened to a handful of players. Banshee and I think a guild that was called blue waffle, probably thc/ww now, but don't quote me.
In early alpha I offered to help Jamie with Korean interface, quest lines, skills, item, mobs magic, stat, crafting and translations to the best of my ability. But was shot down and told only Korean games have mobs with them hp stats, even though everything else is virtually taken from the Korean database. I was told to post mob magic and animations. During alpha, 2 weeks before launch I expressed my concerns again. Mobs with incorrect attacks, range, damage elements No para/pot mobs making game too easy to solo.
It's clear as the coder of the server he has his own ideas about how he thinks things should work.
As someone that has played just about every official server in the last 15 years including Korean/Chinese i was hugely disappointed with how this was balanced.
I was looking forward to playing another Mir 3 server for at least the next 2-3 years not 6 weeks. I hoped this would unify the mir3 community like marble and the other mir2 files out there.
But it was fun while it lasted and it was nice chatting and playing again with old Mir addicts from 15 years ago that played dragon/pheonix. For me this game brings back many childhood memories and was almost nostalgic. Mir will always hold a place in my heart it was one of the first mmo's I ever played and still remember watching it on game network.
This post is not me directly flaming at you Jamie even if it seems that way, just me venting my frustrations and what I wanted or expected in my head. I think you have done amazing work coding the server from the ground up and your continued efforts will only make zircon a better server.
