We have spent 48 hours on our test server balancing spells to what we think will bring a much more stable class balance. We have considered that classes right now may be over/under powered, and although we agree this is normal at lower levels, its defiantly to the extreme for some classes. This was not the plan.
So with that in mind. We have been doing character work overs on all classes, not anything that changes the way you should have to play, or make you crazy strong, but instead make people feel like their character is worth playing in its own way.
I dont want to give to much away, but let me give you some ideas so you can get an idea whats happening.
Examples: Warrior standard damage has been greatly increased, meaning a warrior wont be hitting 100s, but wont be hitting 1s with his basic fencing skills. This means we have returned slaying and thrusting to what they should be.
Example: Hunter we have added a nice mid AOE leveling spell that is not too powerful, but will help them gather mobs, again this gives us the opportunity to return certain spells back to what they should be used for in game.
Example: wizards are relying hard on Firewall at the moment, this is the case for a high rate, not a low-med. We have adjusted lots in wizards play style to balance this and return them to their normal state.
Example: Taoists on apocalypse loose their role due to 2 other classes having poison, we dont want taos to not be played, so we have made them better at solo play without making them too strong, while also realizing some of their current ways are not making them enjoyable.
Example:Assassins are well balanced, however their utility spells were not right, we have rectified this for a better experience.
There is so much more to make things much better for players, and we will be adding all of this tomorrow after a full day more of testing, so we are fully confident that its really good. We hope this means we leave player balances alone for now. (FYI we have tested at higher levels too, to make sure this wont be needed doing again).
We, just like you guys agree classes were not right.
The Patch notes will cover every little detail of the changes so you are fully aware of what your class should be using and doing.
We hope this will make players all enjoy their classes more, not just the stronger ones.
