Shadowing issue.

Hi all.

Had to take this with my mobile because for some reason when i take a screenshot the problem doesn't exists.

Basically when i am in game i get this shadow issue ,no idea what could be causing it...is it a resolution thing maybe?

Perhaps, this is the first i have heard of this, i would suggest messing around with the resolutions a little and see if that helps.

probably not a resolution thing, resolution either works or it doesn't (you get black screen and or bumped to desktop) or it distorts your view (wrong aspect) but it doesn't add any artifacts

I'd try re-downloading the client to different folder (can't rely on overwriting files), total fresh start using autopatcher or full download (could be map file corruption)

big clue and weird thing is that screenshots don't have the artifact (might be something related to directX), re-downloading might not solve it on second thought but always worth a shot anyway

more info for experts might be if the artifact moves with you or if it is part of ground and if you get it on PI map only, did you have it from the very start or it showed up one day... etc

It defo looks like a monitor issue, something not quite supported, usually resolution is the first port of call but it could be the colour settings or even the 50/60Hz settings, I would check what your monitor supports and adjust in mir2config to match the highest available that matches both monitor and client

Cheers guys. I did change the resolution in the mirconfig and although its still there, its not as bad. i will mess around with my monitor tonight( its some benQ one i picked up cheap off amazon).
