Its an expansion, meaning 2.0. You dont expand at 1.6 the 1. means you are working on expansion 1.
2.0 means a brand new expansion. This does not mean anything has been left/skipped

Hope this clears up how expansion numbers work :)

So what are common crafting stones used for now if you can't make them in to rares?

Also I feel like "a powerful attack spell" is the last thing tao's need :disturbed:

Ac/AMC gems. Mining needs a place and we feel making gems is correct place.

Willing to come ingame and disprove this personally, against any warrior. A wizard in full MC will never "out tank" a warrior, nor am I going to out-dps him either? We are the lowest DPS class ingame, hence why wizzies right now feel **** to play when everyones going around killing subs/bosses and farming items. ALL we have is our burst, which, so far, is contained to a single spell that requires us to be in melee distance to use.

I don't think i'm being unreasonable, tbh. When FD was completely busted I was the first to say it needed nerfing.



I think you're misunderstanding Tank vs EffectiveHealthPool. A warrior is a tank. A wizard can take lots of little hits better than a warrior can because we can out heal it better than they can (EHP), what we can't do is take big hits (Tank) - I'm not going to go into depth on this but it's something I see people throw around a lot regarding wizzies and fail to understand the difference. This is all assuming shield is up. Anyone who's played a wizard knows if your shield drops, you die. This is something a wizard has to be mindful of every single second of PvE or PvP. Sometimes shield dropping can force you to lose a fight, or force you to RT or TT when you didn't want to, simply because it wasn't safe to do so. Time spent recasting shield is time I'm not a damage threat.

I'm just wondering why they made this change, now, when visual clarity is a nightmare to know if your shield is down or not regardless of icon. Again, if it were a blue shield which I'm happy to provide the spell GFX for, then I'd have no issue as I can then reliably see if my shield is down and if I need to recast it. I have no problems with having to re-cast my shield when it drops and not knowing when it drops, but if I can't physically see that happening clearly, then we have a problem.

Yeah Wizards suck at Bossing but they do on every server (not saying this is right or not) but Wizards are what everyone wants at mass fights and the only class that can fight on OKS bridge/Choke points effectively, Warriors literally stand afk 90% of the time, not even lying. I'm sure this will somewhat change later on though.

I could be wrong but I think only the second hit of tdb goes through shield which would mean its pretty much impossible to "one hit" 305hp (45Wiz/HolyHPStone). No other class would even come close to one hitting a Wizard. I myself haven't seen someone run upto a Wizard and just one bang them unless they are low level/geared or getting hit by an insanely geared Warrior. But I have seen Wizards sunpotting a whole chunk of damage like its nothing.

I'm not saying Wizards need nerfing infact I agreed with what your post was about in the first place. But I think it should be closely watched.

The little MS icon blinking away in the top corner has saved me from death on many occasions.
A bit disappointed really and like Kori said if you change it to blue at least we have a chance of noticing it's gone.
However........ it adds to the fun of balancing aggression with common sense.
Lets see how it goes

Last question - who told you we need more 43 weps ingame? We don't. :apthy: The server hasn't been up 2 months yet.


People will say "we want we want" all day long but this is like the prime of the server atm when everyone is on a fairly even keel with regards item stats and actually you can pretty much kill anyone if you want/are prepared/get lucky/whatever (that's in my experience of playing an archer and tao anyway).

On official Mir 43 weps are actually stronger than both 45 and even 50 weps - that's how rare they are intended. Now I'm going to assume that you aren't following that item path because it doesn't fit in with what our player base thinks is right, which means your 45/50 weps are going to be even stronger than the 43s - right? Which opens up an even bigger gap between the "high level no lifers" and average players - then you'll see the cries come in - we've seen it all before.

On top of this it also makes refining even more redundant - which ironically in the same patch notes you've said you want to make more relevant.

I agree with you... But then go inside OKS KR and warriors are the single most scariest class in there. Swings and roundabouts on when a class is effective.

If your first TDB hit yellows, your second (TrueDamage) hit gets amplified, this is how you'd onehit a wizz through shield. Seen it done by zeus, let alone hamad. IMO this is fine, and I see sins in full DC kit terrorize wizards in caves where a wizz has no choice but to take on more and more mobs to fight back (FW, aggro, FF, aggro) wizards excel in an open area fight with barely/limited mobs, I can think of 2 places ingame where this occurs, 90% of the time it's a melee heaven.

I'm not saying Wizards need nerfing infact I agreed with what your post was about in the first place. But I think it should be closely watched.

I'm just saying this; it seems stupid to die to RNG. I.E if my shield drops as I get hit, I die no matter who's hitting me, even mobs (especially mobs on this server, yikes) I have no counter-play to this, it's not something that is skillfully done by my attacker, it'll just happen, randomly.

What would have made logical sense to me - if Dan really wants shield nerfed (idk why) would be instead of having no timer for the wizard, instead having that shield-drop timer shown to EVERYONE. That way, every single person (myself included) in that fight will know that my shield is about to drop in 5seconds. Does this not make more sense? It certainly makes me think more about who's around me or what's around me, it also makes me a primary target within those next 5seconds. It would require timing, skill, and the onus would be on the players around me to take advantage of my weakness.

Does damage output just scale up based on luck? I thought each luck provided 10% chance to hit max?

A lot of changes, be interested to see how they all work especially with ongoing issues.

Good stuff overall though.

Remove the icon for UE and tell me its not a nerf?
Removing the icon is a nerf, if you can't see that

Its because it's a nerf and removed the icon. Duh

The % indicator was a middle ground, youre running on euro hp with a reduced shield.
Remove the icon/ramp shield up to 66%
Or leave the icon keep shield at 50.

Either way this result of removing the icon is a nerf, this is from a wizards point of view not your own.

With luck 8

Luck 1-5 in multiples of 5.
Lk6 50%
Lk 7 75%
Lk8 85%

Would keep the non luck 8 players in competition vs the 15% rng.

You could make pve totally different, keeping 7 at 100% so the less lucky players can still keep up in levels as its easier to achieve.
