Any you preferd by any chance

First time blue armour was around also can u remember all them Chinese servers was like 50 or summet stars off on ginko and the npc near the exit was in Chinese

Project69 had music from what I remember.

Apologies if I'm commenting another server but on Euro, I dont recall seeing any music play.

I don’t remember on euro either. P69 defo had it in their ledu and 2.3 files. Looks of it crystal has support but haven’t tried it yet

The only server I played with music that worked was for Lineage 2.
You could spend hours in a town doing trading etc. so it worked well.
Each town had it's own theme and it worked well.

I used to play Mir with mob sounds but music would be a no-no.

I am also one of those who mute music first thing on first login if I didn't do that in ini file already.

Map theme music is almost OK on mir3D, by almost I mean music in towns I have so far played in (Border & Bichon) leaves something to be desired (specially Bichon Wall) but outside towns and caves, temples it is good. Didn't look yet for the means to switch it off, not sure there is any.

mir2 files I suppose you could substitute your own music files in the client but it would need to be ignored by autopatch. Server owners tend to have weird notion of game theme music, that's for sure.

Best bet if you gonna have music is to use ripped off music from other games, it is usually music made specifically for looping and serving as a background 'noise'.

I always felt better off putting music on in the background like Korn, Rage against the machine, Prodigy etc etc

That's not the same thing, game music when it is good is like movie background music, mostly you don't notice it much and certainly there is no singing in these music types (never mind that many movies also use actual songs besides the movie background music).

If any mir server thinks of having music, they should provide gui button for muting it. That makes it easy to dismiss but also easy to try it and maybe finding it OK, at least in some locations (if the music changes from map to map as it should).

One Christmas event on euro there was this snow man, if you brought in some collectibles to hand in, you could choose which Christmas carol to play. Don't remember if only you heard it, the snowman was not in the SZ anyway.

If anyone wants good gold sink for his server, put a juke box in SZ to play music tracks for gold payment. I believe it would be a hit. Include some annoying music too if you want that gold sink to really sink gold as some pple will do or pay anything to annoy others :D
