Ok how about as an inbetween - You can save one item, but it costs 100 souls (or 100 tokens). But it cannot be an "Ethereal" item. I'll set things like Crystal Armour, Heaven/Mir items, Oma King Robe to Ethereal, so you can still bring through one item but the rare drop items still need to be found again.
Sounds good, I think 100 souls might be heavy, but using souls as the currency is a good idea. Means you have to trade off rebirth progression for an item.
i think the item carry over should be a thing but you pay the price its an endgame feature i say

600 souls 2nd slot you pay this every run rather than it being a forever slot?
i would happily sacrifice that to carry a high speed gale neck over xD
It depends what your happy with tbh mate, I think 200 souls was a great point for the first rebirth, as you benefit from multiple cheap upgrades right away. I then did 250 on the second rebirth to get the double rebirth points. Having a decent run this time, might put my new points into exp next rebirth tbh, saves a grind to 48 if I get another OKS robe

I love this idea, one slot that can be unlocked from souls, maybe another that can be unlocked with tokens. max of 3 items? or 1 per char? something like that
I did my first rebirth at 100 souls, purchased AMC base state, 100% xp buff, then more Awakening Soul drops. Did second rebirth at 200 souls, third at 400 souls.
Definitely don't think you want to rebirth before 100, and the further you push past that 100 the easier your second run will be.
Don't think I will do this, but to entertain the idea, what do people think would be a fair XP buff to £ ratio? I can't see a world where I get the balance right. Have the XP buff too low, and it's a pointless expense. Have it too high and it's just paying to skip ahead.
Im not sure on carrying items over... you'll end up somebody getting a stacked set of Heaven Armours or Mir items, which will probably carry them back to same spot too quickly

We making gains! Finally killed OKS and got OK Robe first kill. Defo not ready for Devourer yet unless I wanna splurge all of my sun pots. What's the best way to farm them as OKS needed quite a few

Not sure if this has been raised. I am trying to upgrade enhanced items but it's telling me it will consume the enhanced item.
Example, i have a normal great axe dc 0-27 and once that's enhanced with crit damage and aspeed. If i try to upgrade, it will destroy the enhanced item.
Can this be looked into.
