Heck, you dont even have roundabouts int he US. I'm surprised a US license could even be considered valid anywhere that has roundabouts. You would be so ****ed.

USA systems are lucky, USA uses standard automatic, you pass, you can change to manual and its still valid on license.. UK system is that if you pass automatic, you only drive auto...

UK id say.

They have gone very strict on young drivers over here.

Although, when you live in a big city, like i live in Sheffield, it makes it even harder to pass, then doing a test in a small city.

Indeed, one of those things. Canada has them, europe has them, but as far as i know, USA doesn't

Aye. Thats retarded, driving manual is nothing like driving auto :/

That's from Long Beach. California. USA.

oo, wow! 1 for the whole country! Should have to have a special license to be able to use it :P Without knowing how to use them properly I can imagine them being an easy way to have an accident.

i think usa is probably harder, cause they drive on the wrong side of the road, and there steering wheels are on the wrong side also...

This is very unfair lol, there won't be anyone on here who has taken a test in both countries, and therefore nobody knows how hard the other driving test is.

The only reason that the UK will get a hell of a lot more votes is the fact that the vast majority of people on the forum are from the UK, and therefore i doubt any of them will vote against their own country.

Anyway due to being from the UK i have to vote for it =p, but it really is a stupid poll lol.

Technically we drive on the wrong side :P More countries use LHD than RHD

No, just one that I've seen that has a PICTURE on the internet. The road system is different here.

Without being tested on roundabouts you shouldn't be allowed drive in europe :P

I personally would say the UK has it harder, however the USA leaves drivers better prepared. The UK test is quite hard, because one mistake in unfortuante circumstances and your ****ed. Eg, If you forgot to look left for traffic and there was a car coming (even it it was miles away) youve failed. If theres no car there, then you get a minor.

The problem is, a fair % of UK people manage to squeeze through the test, and because that test was all that mattered, they decide that they can go out and drive at 80MPH through the centre of town, and kill someone. American's are a lot more educated on the matter and are less likely to act retardedly as a result.

Also the fact Americans start earlier is a good thing, the younger you are the faster you learn. Children can become sufficiently fluent in a language in 6 months, I doubt any of us could learn a language to that standard in 6 months. So being 15 is a decent advantage.

i would say its harder over here but only because we do thing over here stupidly. america has got its head on properly, like teachng driving form a young age and keeping you in education. where as over here soon as your 16 they say you can decide if you want to stay in education (which is usually still of low grade) or go find work and unless you are a mature 16 or your parents are the driving force behind you your gonna just wanna get laid and get drunk or in my case "play mir for a year".
