stfu you fkin n00bs thats sad,they killed his kids and now they sentence him 2 death i hope his buddies save him and he runs away..
nothing to do with the fact he killed 148 people.. i find that more sad than him being sentenced to death.

Yes i do realise there would of been uproar and civil war but it would of stopped all this stuff about the trial and maybe it would of been better in the long run

hmmmmm ok saddam is a MOFO , he tried killing kurds in the thousands , and i have loads of video of that prick doing it , him and some 1 called comical ali , they took prisoners out and started whipping them to death ( poor prisoners that had done NOTHING wrong ) and in the video you can see a mountain of people killed that are piled up on each other
he had no respect , he didnt give a **** who he killed , and his wife had to leave him because she was scared that he was gonna kill her
i know all this because i am a iraqi/kurd and i know what happened because i am from the country he ****ed up so i dont listen to news and **** like that , i just listen to the stories my mum dad grandma grandad told me who actually ran away from iraq at the 1990 war

The only thing I don't appreciate is that his trial is takin place in a country that is (at the brink?) going through civil war and doesn't even have a stable government.
Also the actions/declerations of Bush, Blair and the coalitions have caused more problems than Saddam ever has. 148 deaths vs some 3000 a month in recent rise in conflict.
Not to mention that the (secular) dictator was installed/empowered/backed by the US in the first place.
Having said that I still stick with my innitial conviction, he is allegedly guilty of gassing Kurds and several assasinations, but what's the difference between his actions and those of the coalition?

What he did was murder the entire village in revenge for it. Thats like some kid crashing a car in your town, and everyone under 21 being banned from driving there. Im pretty sure if that happened you would be ****ing outraged.
Iraq was a decent country till he took over, his first act was to basically eliminate all opposition via the path of murder. He declared war on Iran over a crappy border agreement he didnt like, and declared war on kuwait for god knows what reason.
He killed his own people for speaking out against him, he's played a hand in the deaths of over 50,000 people because of his insane actions. You have absolutely no ****ing clue about anything, you are THE most ignorant ****er on this board and although Im all for people voicing opinions, I like them backed on a firm basis. The 148 deaths are those that he is being put on trial for. The simple reason is this is the crime they knew they could get a conviction on, and that the death sentence would be awarded for it. Therefore they save time and money by not trying him for everything else.
He used chemical weapons on the kurds IN HIS OWN COUNTRY, after it was taken over in a war. Thats similar to say, Tony Blair ordering for birmingham to be destroyed because someone took it in a war.
None of you actually seem to know any of the story behind this, and I dont understand how anyone can stand up for him in anyway. Everything that happened in this war was inevitable anyway. Once saddam died, there would have been a power struggle between those who would have wanted the power. The result would have been civil war anyway, with the probable outcome being another dictator.
