Is the general intelligence of LOMCN at an all time low?
Hey guys.
For a while ive noticed that LOMCN is slowly dumbing down.
Be it from people not being able to spell, to people with the ability to structure a proper post. Back in the day people used to ridicule the thick and punish the insolent, these days it seems, people accept the thick, rude, vile and immature people as common place in our society.
This is none the more true on LOMCN.
The past year has seen some influential members of staff stand down from their positions and i can only see this has add to the liberally crap diction of our users.
A common example of todays speak:
'Hey guys lol omgsh i was leik and m8 omgsh i lold and il merku u**** hahaha ans **** maye cos if you comes to mi ouse int it meight id merk you brap rude haahaha'
If i ever see a post like that, i tend to ignore its content as the person is obviously too thick to craft even a simple sentence.
With the exception of blam who can do what he wants, it seems the older, more renouned users are the ones who can construct sentences, can forge arguments and generally have a conversation without the tendency to use lazy, splapdash speak.
The people who cannot spell, who cannot type properly and who cannot construct a simple sentence make LOMCN look messy untidy and childish, an appearence that older members like myself strive to avoid.
This post simply has no point. However it would be good to attain peoples views on the matter.
