How tight is your Budget??
What Interface are we talking about ?? AGP or PCI-Express??
What games are you aiming for for example??
You said 400 or 450 - which is it??
interface is AGP
PSU is a ATX 400 JSP
No specific games just want to be able to play the ones now without problems....believe it or not i cant play mir properly when theres lots of stuff on screen my gfx cant take it.
I got £155 but I got to get ram is well, I worked it out to costing me 80 for card and around 40 for 1 gb stick, i cant buy online so im limited to the shops in my area.
Why the hell not?
This limits you then as buyng from a Shop (PC World for example) gets you a lot less card for your money then say Online. For Example a 7600GT is like £60 online while it comes in at £99 in PC World. I will have a look around and see what Cards I can come up with the help you out for your Budget.
Not everyone has a Credit Card you know !!
I'm afraid the 7 series cards aren't ''high class'' anymore. Year ago, roughly they were approximately top of the line, but now with 8800's etc just no :P. You wont be able to play the newest games setting the graphics to their peak but probably will be able to play them with acceptable settings.About same as I thought its £11 more for the nvidia but reading that just concludes my assumption that nvidia is better....plus it supports shader model 3.0 whihc is partly what I need to run SC4 DA amongst fifa 08 and others.
Thanks demonic, you been a great help.
p.s quick query, can high lvl ish cards like 7600 cope with vsync, antialiasing & anisophic filtering? my card can never cope with it....
So this 7600 is capable of running c&c 3/sc4 da/fifa08 at full pelt with no freezes? (thats if all requirements are met with flying colors)
@auron My credit isnt perfect and not much savings so I doubt id be accepted for a visa..and no im not a fraudster i just took £150 out the bank so I do put money in it, i am ill for medical reasons and they are legit.
Perhaps not at full pelt, but at conditions definately playable.
No, you misunderstand. I'm not talking about a credit card. This has nothing to do with your credit history.
You simply take the funds you were going to use to buy the card, pay it into your bank, and request a DEBIT card. With a debit card, you can only spend what you have, thus credit rating does not apply.
Head down your local bank and pester them for a bit over it
(Besides, I have a ****ty credit rating myself)
