Re: New Mir2 Files (Close to Official Korea)

Um they can use SQL
Yes there is a stat cap of 1000 (so no high stat servers)

It was and still is a stupid question, reguardless of what the server side of the files looks like they are still 2.3 files
The server side of files will always look the same its the code that is added that makes the server 2.3 not the folders and .txt files that it uses

They CAN'T use SQL, as soon as you enable use of SQL in !setup.txt the server shows an error message in chinese and instantly closes.

'Stupid Question' yes but, you fail to see the point. The structure is important as without it you wouldn't have a working server. I'm aware they are 2.3 regardless of the folder structure but it seems a little old the way its done.

The 1000 cap is annoying, but as its unpacked we can remove it thanks to hexing.

@make chill pill for BH :)

Re: New Mir2 Files (Close to Official Korea)

EDIT:-
I know he says if you cant get em online you should stop trying to run a server but this error is beyond me

[06/03/2008 09:15:06] 服务器启动异常:Cannot open file "C:\Mir2Server\M2Server\Envir\MonItems\????.txt". The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect,
i have searched and searched through text and the db but still cant find the problem :(

Did you sort this elvin? i have the same thing .

Please read the entire thread I posted what to do on the 1st page.

And Dave it really doesn't matter, tbh I wish I had never started calling Plumewind 1.9 since it never was 1.9 just like these are not 2.3 and never actually will be. The only time version numbers work is for official M2Servers like the Philli one that was leaked early last year.

If people wanna name files based on numbers then it should be based on what the players can see in this case these files would be 2.5/2.6 (Probably more since wemade don't actually use a version based release system and just date them instead)

Well I had things in mind :P
If the cap was removed through the hexing (didnt think was possible) then that would be really gd :)

Re: New Mir2 Files (Close to Official Korea)

Anyone had these files working with SQL? everytime i change the !setup.ini the server shows a poopup msg in chinese, once you click ok it closes :(

Might be that i'm trying to make it use my db setup for TDs files, but i would have thought it would work anyways.

:( I've tried it with MSSQL and MYSQL and nothing :cray: in a previous post BH corrected me by saying 'they do work with SQL'... maybe he could shed some light on it for us or admit he was wrong for once. ;)

Re: New Mir2 Files (Close to Official Korea)

seem to remember the first set of files @2.3 were running under access but that all changed with the td set when he added mysql and then moved to mssql, so id guess that these as theyre from svn will be only access untill lom2/eisky and his crew change it.

Re: New Mir2 Files (Close to Official Korea)

they are supposedly up to the official korean release of mir, in and around 2.X

they use access for the database but they also use the merchant.txt and npc.txt etc

HeroDB is in most sets of files released just not used in later versions.

Re: New Mir2 Files (Close to Official Korea)

When i opened the file, my anti virus thing had a fit and deleted it. There's nothing wrong with the files atall, it's just some av programs can't tell the differance between a trojan and a client that uses tcp and udp *i think*

Re: New Mir2 Files (Close to Official Korea)

I scan all on top files with NortonAntivirus 2008 suite (update at 12.03.2008 with latest virus definitions - and is NO.1 in the world(use all the Greatest servers in the world:ex.Yahoo services)) and NO find any caind of virus in this files. Other AV are just tricky!!!
So useing with trust this files, is an true !!!
