Haha donation, its more of a 'Zomg ima buy a exp scroll that ups my exp by 10% for an hour so i can be highest lvl and people will want my babies'

from my experiences with ingame item shops, i cant see what the problem will be? Item shops bring in far more revenue than charging players 5£ a month subscription fee, nothing in the item mall will be super powerful (no para's etc) i would expect to see exp scrolls, higher instant pots - consumable items which all expire on a time basis.
It is no different to private servers allowing people to pay for v.i.p (75% of servers out now offer this ''exp boost'' for a small donation a month).
@graphite...stop spamming here with ur 3 word answers.
Most of the servers on here accept donations for benefits...you just choose when to allow it or not...
Personally I don't like the idea of an ingame shop as I hate the principle of gaining an advantage via money.

Agreed, but that's how it is. Even if it is only minor exp pots etc, in time it will give them quite an advantage over non payers. I certainly have better things to spend my money on.

If you're getting paid well, you're usually working quite hard so less time to play with the advantage anyways, hence why mentioned the daddy's boy. :agree:
Just simply always having instant pots is a huge advantage for pvp/hunting.
Nevermind I suppose they need to make money some how though I'd just rather it was from subscription fees.

iv never donated but iv always found a way to not be the crappest on the server ^^

Yes but if u work hard in real life, it will leave u less time to lvl. Even if u pay for 20% extra exp pots, the time u have to use these will be alot less than someone like me who is a lazy fker and dont work.

Half the servers advertised on these forums accept ''donations'' for extra exp, for extra items or extra something, but hey, if MYSELF was to open a server, u can GUAREN dam TEE, it be banned from advertising on lomcn, such is the hypocrisy of lomcn. (look @ zentaur, selling charas for nuff moneys, yet still its in the ''lomcn approved'' servers. Scorpian server u pay for VIP (another word for ''MORE EXP'') Pheonix Extreme (accept donations for integrals - with integrals u can buy materials which give u UBER stat weapons (without donating it take u 2-3months hunting noob mobs to get enuff materials))/Kaos mir3 accepted donations before the server was even online (still hasnt materialised properly)
Then u have PAINS's server which doesnt actually give items for donations (as far as i know) is actually a decent server, has actually been online for nearly a year now, YET it isnt allowed to be advertised on here? why is this? Hypocrisy ? I think so.
No not really, instant pots? WTF they gonna do in most situations? Just prolong the death of the chara. Exp pots? Yes some peolpe can buy these, but those that can will be working full time - so in effect will have less time to lvl than us lazy fkers who dont work (Work it out? 2x exp for half as time lvling = same exp as normal people who play 18hours a day who dont have to get up at silly am to go to work in some backstreet factory for minimum wage just to pay that little bit extra to BE ZE BEST.

Same as that, i've never donated for a server, yet ive still been in the top 10% on the majority of server's ive played.

Pain's server does accept donations for items, however as do nearly all of the servers on this forum. Things will never change.
