When I say nothing at all - I mean no items, no pots.....nothing.
Happend with ET in bug cave and with ZT. Both times the bosses were either surrounded by mobs or people.

Not sure about ET. But ZT is a neat dropper, meaning that if someone or something is in the drop zone, it simply deletes the drop.

It's why players solo the remainder of the health so that only 1 item is removed (Depending on positioning, usually just a potion)

So if you left it surrounded by mobs as you killed it, the mobs prob caused the drops to delete

It's the same with ET aswel, usually we get the wizard to kill the remainder of the bosses health meaning that it doesn't delete any drops :D

i really love how mir ppl think :p
as far as i know (and i'm fairly educated at this): if a spot is occupied, the dropped item goes to next spot (the monster/boss drop item code is the same code as if you where personaly throwing down an item on floor)

there is a bug with relation to drops but it's not got anything to do with a single person standing on a spot, i'll fix it but it'll take a while for this to take affect on server

^This. Drop files do not look at what's on the floor, or in the way at all. its just a text document it reads and throws stuff out depending on the rarity.

Wrong lol.

That's a normal dropping mob. I specifically said an organised dropper. It still drops in rarity order (Top-Left to Bottom-Right), but if blocked by a player/mob will stop it dropping (Most people stand bottom right of finishing the boss to avoid losing a rarer item)

Only normal dropping mobs will cause the item to drop on the next available location.

Kill an EvilSnake and you'll see what I mean, then kill a WhiteBoar, you'll see the difference

sonic stop trying to spread that hoax ffs
there is no way you'll 'lose' a drop just cause a spot is occupied, when an item cant drop on spot a, it'll drop on spot b
you can in theory have only 2/3spots on you rentire screen without a mob or player
and it'll drop as many items as it can on those 2/3 spots (i admit there currently is an issue with it but not this kind)

I thought the only issue with boss drops, to my knowledge, was if it died ontop of another mobs dead body. This causes it to not drop.

The "doesn't drop if spot occupied" thing was a false rumour spread back in Euro to get people to pull off their entire guilds from it, and allow us sneaky bastards to come in and steal it at the last minute. If there's 9 people surrounding a boss and it dies, it'll drop around them and ontop of itself, it'll also stack ontop of itself if need be.

This is an old myth driven by a boss not dropping a rare.

Often a boss won't drop a rare simply as it's not going to drop anyway.

lol @ sonic, I'm pretty sure that drops can stack up to 7 items on each drop space.. so if there was only 2 spots it'd still drop everything including gold. Nevermind, it's always made me smile when fools say 'move down' 'it'll not drop a rare if you kill it where you are stood' lol

ive been telling this to people for years.

run a server at home and test it out all you want. . set a drop files to drop 1/1 aand than have people stand around the mob or boss and kill it . you will see that all the items still drop or stack up if needed. end of Mir Myths :P

and yes koriban is right, it sure is a mir thieves way of thinking, and usually a person who get very annoying afterwhile and complains alot.... just sayin.

not sure why a mob would never drop but just wanted to reply about the item delete thing lol i honestly say to my self " LOL idiots " every time. and laugh harder when its a stronger boss and than we all die somehow :P

Koriban is spot on with what he was saying. Clearing a drop space never changed the drop it just made it easier to see what dropped. As originally the items never used to show up with names on the floor. And as for one person finishing the boss. Its the biggest scam going in mir lol i still do it to this day....
