The current state of AceM2 and the speed cheaters that are destroying it.

or better yet why not recruit a trustworthy GM who's sole purpose Is too watch cheaters and ban them? you must know who is using the cheats as you say you knew from day1.... this way you have the time too fix bugs/glitches/add new content and these idiots get sorted out making server run smoother and less abuse/insults

But if you know people are speed hacking and there blatantly doing it in plain view without any fear of getting caught why is nothing being done?

Not being funny i dropped quite a valuable item today to these idiots, **** the item i just want them gone.

You must be getting 30-40 reports a day about certain individuals. Can you guys please at least figure out if they are or not and just ban them at least?

I couldn't agree more with these two comments. The majority of us appreciate the work you TD and the rest of the team is doing, more then you know. After all we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you guys.

We also understand that you guys have a heck of a lot of work to do. But you can't let these individuals get away with what they're doing, because clearly they don't care. If it's made obvious that this server isn't being Policed to protect it from these sad mugs, who's only purpose is to enlarge there own E-Penis. Then Anarchy will happen. People will quit because they don't wanna put up with these ridiculous people, those who don't quit will feel forced to use the same programs. The end result being a server full of vermin that will just need nuking.

So I'm 100% for a GM being appointed who's sole purpose is to simply keep an eye on everyone, while you guys can concentrate on what's important. It's a shame though I guess it's just the way of the world, there's always idiots everywhere trying to ruin things.

It is apparant there is a few cheaters knocking about. Which something should be done about, to be honest though I dont think I have encountered any.

Ive had a few fights so far and first of all everytime I was SFB'd or hit by a warrior whilst I was running full speed I thought CHEATTTTT. Then I suddenly I psn'd and SFB'd somebody whilst they were running and they flinched. Then realised this was the norm.

Skib seems to think im a cheater though after the mass abuse I got after he tried to rob 1 of my boss drops.

PLease.. I encourage all people to record the cheaters with FRAPPS and post on here. It's all well and good pointing fingers and naming names... but proof would be nice. If there is hard, solid video footage - something can be done about it.

There will always be cheats just like htere will always be criminals. The most important thing is to be one-step ahead.

The GMs are in-game more than some people, it's not difficult for them to spot certain named individuals.

They need to be banned, that'll discourage them from using the cheats.

I think jumping on cheaters at the start of a server saves a lot of bother later. Unless the banned respond by malicious attacks on the server.
I can cope with bugs ingame(its mir ffs) long as can see things being fixed as the weeks go by. Cheaters I really dont want to live with and having Gms(temporary? short contract? limited?) who can identify and ban cheats policing the game in the first few months should sort out potential troubles.
Maybe system of one week ban plus de level for first offence thats a warning next time its permanent

I'd be inclined to let the cheats play for a good while longer yet. The server is still relatively new, and I can imagine the info being collated on the same names that keep coming up, could be priceless.

Know who they are and learn of their exploits.

EDIT: Just had another thought. Whilst you keep them online, have the server give them a magical glow graphic :p

Worthing is depressing.

Because everybody is willing to spend all their time on the server spying on cheaters to help out other people and not benefit themselves.

I think you are all missing the bigger picture TD tried to point out. The cheaters are here.. and will ALWAYS will be. Stop fooling yourselves thinking they will permanently ban people, and it will disappear. Every version of mir here has cheats all made by 1 person on this forum. Not to mention cheats made in south korea/china.

Why focus time on making something that some hack monkey will get past in a few weeks, putting bug fixes back 3 weeks, and have 3 more weeks of morons whining about bugs. Not to mention in 3 weeks time the variety of cheats may double.. meaning MORE time spent on prevention & less on bug fixes.

I understand its a kick in the f'ing teeth when you spend time and effort to loose to a baboon with cheats, but as Squatts said.... FRAPP it & report it. The only way you stand a chance until the bugs are fixed... I'd much rather play a bug free server & be more wary of my surroundings when other people are around than a cheat free server (never going to happen on any game) and 100's of bugs.

so having a GM sole purpose for cheaters would mean that person doesn't have a normal Char on server so no they wouldn't be stopping there own progression... again having a gm for sole purpose of catching cheats wouldn't slow down bug fixes...you say the cheats will be changed in 2-3 weeks but you also say to FRAPS people cheating to get them banned and you say about not wasting time lol using fraps to upload somewhere for people too see and try pick holes in to get someone banned or 1 person using their eyes and banning them hmmm I wonder what 1 seems less time consuming and more effective....and ofc cheaters will always be around on mir servers coz most servers don't do nothing to stop them for example BANNING THEM... lol

Thing is a lot of cheaters are spiteful little bastards, probs flood/ddos the server if they get banned.

Best thing to do is make cheats ineffective, obviously this is hard to do, but need to target the source of the problem tbh.

There's cheats on every game, you'll never stop them. Every single time you put preventive measures in place they will re-work and rethink there applications.

Accept this fact, or dont play online games any more if it bothers you that much.

I've seen countless servers ruined by cheaters. So no not really. Tbf people don't just break 1 rule they break many, so cheaters I. This game probably are criminals irl. :P
