Life of the server

I started playing this when it was announced as a Live server, not as a test server. A wipe would kill it, i know a LOT of people that would just not come back if it was wiped.
A wipe would do it good, can pretty much guarantee if all the bugs and exploits etc where sorted, the player base would rise dramatically, due to this being the only decent set of server files about, and staff not being money grabbing idiots like all the other servers about

I starded from test server 1st day (maybe 2nd). I get angry, will curse everyone, and in the end I will admit that a wipe of the server is the best choice to save it for the years to come.
Its one of the best servers around. If you went anywhere else you would have to level again and get your kit together again. Where ever you go might not be as good as this or have as many players. How many are there who wouldn't be back because they wont "have it easy" anymore. 20?

I thought it was still somewhere between a test and a live server. We are still asked to report things and give feedback. So choices seem to be, complete wipe or do something to reduce that advantages gained in the early days from various loopholes by those who took advantage of such loopholes without mentioning them or asking if this was what the server team had intended.
A fresh new server, with no bug major big exploits, reduced drops of orbs and gems/ore, maybe few item drops reduced aswell, get rid of the power buff kill chain quests, and can assure there would be more people join then there would leave, there's a good loyal player base here, and like I said the only players that are going to moan are the ones that have alrdy took advantage of all this in the first place
Trouble with that tho, is there's about 120 active players ingame not counting stalls, and only about 20 active on the forum, maybe staff can put a pop up message ingame to tell players to vote on forum?
Let's not get ahead of ourselves here though. You may find that the staff consider it completely out of the question.
Staff have said nothing about a wipe, this is just something discussed by players.
So, as far as we're (The players) are concerned, there will be no wipe.

Exactly, that why iv asked for them to review the discussion and give us an update on the matter, and like I also said, it's not a 5 minute decision to wipe a server, just be nice to hear somthing from em as we don't often untill an update
I know for a fact That Milo does not plan on wiping the server (and afaik the team feels the same)
There are plans in place to expand the server but that is down the line, the main objective at the moment is to find and fix bugs and balance the server
I think what people need to remember is that Mir is 10+ years old, everyone who plays knows what to do, where to level, what and how to kill most bosses etc etc
also the server is 8x exp to what euro was, so people got to lvl 40 8x faster
Back in the days of euro a lot of people leveled solo at 1x exp, due to that fact that we all have being playing mir for so long we know how to level and how to level fast using groups and guilds, IMO this is the reason plays are 40+ so fast
The point I am trying to make is that the server is still very young, the server team know this and they know what its like for players on the server, there are plans to expand but bug fixing is the main plan at the moment

Nice to see you hard at work babyhack, personally I can see a wipe might come at some point but as you said there going to expand and with that comes new bugs.
Anyone wanting a wipe or thinking its going to be happening within the next 6 months is just deluded, there are still bugs and balance issues and until the team is happy with the files as a whole a wipe will not happen.

That's the point the players are aiming at, the fact the server is still so young and every1 is already running round with stupidly high stated gear and items/levels, and not all have been exploited due to bugs etc, but the majority has, being it the easy gemming, orb drop rate, mining issues, item drop rate, bosses to easy, and the kill chain exploit

In replie to your post, you've got a point, but deciding to wipe in afew months time could well be an issue, due to players losing a hell of a lot more work... Sooner the better if a wipe is planned

Yer a wipe sooner then later is obviously better, I mean as it is now the ppl with all high end gear etc alrdy is only becoz of the advantages they had due to the bugs etc, if they decide to wipe 2/3/4 months down the line, then that will cause a big disaster!

I'm for a wipe. To make things fairer. ... and i'm lvl 43. however, I know a lot of people who don't get on much, and have had to solo (taos mainly) that are now 43/44/45. They joined late but just grinded everytime they were on.... I can't see this minority wanting to play again. We're too far ahead to have a wipe now. would be nice though... i doubt half of TF/WS/DA would play again though.. at least with a wipe you can filter out the asses from the loyalists. imo tbh.
But if you know the players are much more adept at the game why make it x8 and let them get so many extra stats? x8 to 33 but x4 to 40 x2 after that. No extra stats. If a gem succeeds you lose a dura. Added runes take away dura all this +++ stat is good ideas but just not well thought out. It's lookin like end months exploiters n hax euro after just a few weeks
It has nothing to do with Loyalty imo.
If the server wiped today I would probably stop playing and wouldn't be surprised to see most of our Guild stop.
It's all good saying it would filter out the asses but at the same time you need people who act like asses to make the server interesting.
