Was watching a stream video and Nemo appeared when Aldor was hunting to ask if level 0 poison sword should work everytime and aldor said yes, tao's poison doesn't miss.

So i want to know what is the difference between the two poisons? (other than tao's can red)
There should be some distinct strength to tao poison against assassin poison. I think a melee class having poison is so overpowered. In this case I think based on the players accuracy & skill level should the poison hit/miss and the duration of the poison lasting be based on their skill level. The skill should deduct HP based on the player SC (due to them not having much SC making them do low damage with poison)
Level 0 - 15seconds & Chance x0.5
Level 1 - 20seconds & Chance x1
Level 2 - 25seconds & Chance x2
Level 3 - 30seconds & Chance x3

Level 0 & 10 Acc = 5% chance to poison
Level 1 & 10 Acc = 10% chance to poison
Level 2 & 10 Acc = 20% chance to poison
Level 3 & 10 Acc = 30% chance to poison

This is the kind of reason I was asking, atm the only difference is that sins poison tick is lower(afaik), and doesnt last as long..

I know your intentions of asking were to get an answer on how over powered Aldor thought it was but his opinion is biased and unreliable due to him playing assassin and most likely being an assassin in live. I was thinking that if I put it up on here and got a more selective answer it might get a an average idea of what other players/ classes think.

I posted my opinion above and I think that it should be nerfed so that it only works occasionally or even better if it worked most of the time on monsters but very minimal on bosses making the taoist still useful for bossing. In live i'm most likely to be a taoist and I don't want to be left in town all of the time due to assassins taking over my role.

lol sorry had too :), in all seriousness we're going to look into it, while poison sword isnt all that great on 1v1 trash as mobs generally die before it gets 2 ticks off, vs bosses/larger groups of mobs it becomes more effective, while we don't want to make the skill useless for sin we also don't want to make taos poison useless.

Agreed, should a small group require a Taoist to kill a boss? I only play with a small number of friends and it's not always possible for me to get a Tao to hunt with.

It really depends on the boss is and what it can drop as. Id prefer if the boss can drop certain rare items that it would need a group which includes a Tao and potentially atleast one of each class otherwise the game just gets boring quick if two people can get a high stat kit easily and take on any of the worth while bosses.

Another option ion is to change what sin poison sword actually does give it a different effect such as reducing the mobs damage slightly or slowing its attack speed. Maybe make it so it increasing the chance slightly for a sin to critical hit?

Just make it so that lvl 0/1/2 doesn't work 100% and lvl 3 does. Problem solved?

Only thing it effects is being able to solo the already soloable bosses slightly quicker.

Disagree. Your friend circle has no relevance. Taos poison heal buff and res. Assassins do great damage on bosses in comparison go tao's. Why should they be given the deal breaker of stopping regen too? May aswell make assains the only class 'cause all your doing is promoting solo play from well kitted assasins going around with no tao. A group of two is better than just you!

To allow thier poison sword to replace green poison is pathetic. May aswell give wizzies poison bolt & warriors poison bombs!

its annoying not having a tao but to be fair... Thats been a problem since day 1 on mir and is a problem that doesnt need fixing. Make new friends dont be antisocial. There are plenty of taos. Your just making a stupid excuse that you don't have many friends!

If this was a 3 hero server this would not even be a debate but one class should not have an advantage to justify not bringing a tao and or more people just because people like to play with as least people as possible in order to gain loot / advantage.

Legend, I'm gonna learn how this reputation thingy works for you.

The Taoist currently brings the most utility to any group which is why I'd suggest it's the most fun to play and the hardest to master. So far from what I've seen the sin could come a close 2nd which is why I'm enjoying it. I wouldn't mind a dmg nerf (even though i think that would kill the class later on) but I would hate for the devs to change the way any of the skills work and lessen it's utility. I'd go as far as consider rolling Taoist once the server goes live if the Assassin becomes another boring Warrior.

Making Haste or FatalSword a higher level skill would be an easy and obvious way to fix the Assassin IMHO.

BTW you Taos that think you might be out of a job; have you seen the FeederAnts that Wizards are taming atm on closed beta? :p

Are you crazy? Sins worst at soloing any bosses ingame out of all classes? seriously?

Also Sins cant really complain on here they already get a accuracy boosting spell which they don't normally get and also on top of that geo manip- which teleports the sin to whereever the cursor is pointing?
That coupled with the fact that they have acc, speed, pa, teleporting,Runspeedboost,agilitybuff,Repulse,HeavenlySword(thrust)Poisonsword(GreenPoisonHalfmoon)moonlight(stealth or invisibility until they strike),Darkbody(Clone),Flashdash(TDB),mpsteal(passive mp steal off mobs and players),CresentSlash(BA) Hemmorhage(critical hit chance and bleeding damage over time)...sins are hardly hard done by

Warriors in comparison only have acc spells (Fencing,Slaying) DC,AC buff (rage and profield),tdb,entrap, chm, ba, halfmoon,thrust,dash and lionsroar + whatever new spell they have added slashingburst or w.e

So from this we see that warrior have to add/gem speed, pa, acc and agility to kit if they want these ''luxuries'' where as sin get them naturally at low levels? so already have to spend a small portion of what a warrior will have to pay for kit upgrades. Also the fact lvl 0 poison sword does 6+ dmg a tick at lvl 0, sins are far from having a rough time, infact the most hard done by class atm is warriors on here it seems from the streams, the only thing warriors have a advantage with is hp and ac.

But hey maybe things will change late game as this is only testing but that's my opinion so far.

I was only replying to aldors post where it clearly says why should they need a tao... Implying assasins should do the taos job of poison. The only thing a tao is really needed for is poison.

A clear beta benefit is these testers have direct contact to the devs we cant see everything but when you see these people saying things such as 'why should we need a tao' its worrying.. People are only trying to express thier concerns as small details like this END GAME Not now will be dramatic. A level 50 assasin with poison on a boss will be soloing lots even if its only green.

I would have to agree with xXxX there doesnt seem much point in playing a warrior atm, sins will just out level a warrior with ease therefore bypassing the lack of HP and AC.

I think giving sins the accuracy increase will be as bad as the cast speed increase in Ace, sins should itemise for acc not have it given to them on a plate. When the sin was first introduced into mir it was given all the tools it needed to catch up
to a mature server population, and that included 10 acc not 17.

I don't know what the healerant is healing (amount wise) but in mir 3 if the healerant was tamed it would only heal the caster and not other players & their pets. This probably will need a nerf, the speed that it heals or the amount it heals.

Agreed, giving assassins an accuracy boost then turns them away from things like SharpBracelets and onto things like DeathGauntlets giving them even more DC to kill quicker.

Note the healer ant ain't that great its relative to the cave ur in, its a lvl 30 mob easy for mines etc lvls below it, go higher and they get smashed no matter how much it heals
also its going to be restricted to 1 healer

but the bstards arnt allowing the murloc to be tameable ><

Aren't assassins suppose to have dick accuracy?

Forces them to use items such as Sharp Braces...which in turn effects there DC...which effects the ability to do so much damage and take on so much damage

I don't get why they've been given base Acc lol...they're MEANT to kit accuracy to nerf their damage
