Yep, no doubt.

On a side note, it's not all about FPS for speed on this server. We've tested that throughly. Not saying that going from 40 ish FPS to 60 FPS won't make a difference, it obviously will but there are a lot of other factors at play here.

I've seen a lot of people that are a LOT faster than you. I am not fast at all by any means but you don't seem nippy at all to me. The fastest person I have seen is either ZombieSenpai or a lowish level Sin called Taylor.

It's hard to really tell a speed of a taoist lol, best way to really tell is from pvp warrior style. I have pvp'd a lot of people for testers and I have tested on Taylor using my newb warrior Gahn. We were hit for hit. equal.

I will never and have never said I am the fastest, but will say I'm faster than a huge chunk of mofos. and it would be good if a lot of people can also increase some speed from this tiny, easy tweak

Gives me something to research again lol. Or, you can do what KENPACHi did and buy a vn1++ kazakhstani Monitor. Solved all his problems

Btw, since it was mentioned. If there's anyone in this game using "speed-cheats", it'll be ZombieSenpai. About a week ago in OK KR he skipped across my screen like a horse on steroids. It basically looked as if he was riding his mount lol.

Thanks for sharing. In towns and busy areas i only get only get about 25 fps. Using windows 8 at the moment but will try the tweak anyway and see if it works.

I know that for some people, changing the priority on the task manager for Mir.exe to high has helped a fair bit.

Thanks for this OP, unfortunately when I finally got in game (after applying the fix) my FPS was only 30, and that was in the training room :-(

When I changed the windows to optimal performance instead it went up to about 35 but windows looked ugly as hell.

I guess my laptop really is a piece of crap, although your original post about your friend with a PC older than my grans gave me hope :-P

People actually change to gears of war theme? lol, none of that nonsense will help your FPS, the whole performance over appearance will lower the cost of memory on your windows theme process but not to the length have actually effect your FPS in a game.

I have only found 1 way to slightly increase FPS in Mir and that's with your graphics card, each graphics card has it's settings, you just have to work and tweak it to run mir at it's highest FPS.

I have run mir with the performance setting and was getting about 41fps on average, after changing it to the "let windows choose blahblah" it ran at 50fps. With this being the case it shows it can (not guaranteed) help fps. Whether this gears of war theme or w/e works I don't know. A bit contradictory I know, the appearance setting giving more fps than performance -.-.

Edit: Along with other changes I can get up to 64 but I still fluctuate and average around 55/56, I'll test this GoW thing when I get home though.

It can help and the reason why is this.

Because of the slightly more demanding setting of best appearance, your FPS is already slightly higher to compensate. So when you log into Mir, your FPS is at a slightly higher setting than it would normally be. Playing a YT video in the background has helped some people for the same reason.

no offence kori, but I've played a gazillion 2.3 servers, and I've never seen ken EVER play without cheating.. mad isn't it.. where he could actually hit you while you're running away, with the acpi and everything, not to mention 3 ghz of single core action with a ram latentcy of 2.. yeah I've met ken many times on many servers, incapable of playing without some form of cheat.. sorry but that is the the truth, dare say there's loads on on lomcn who will say the same.. regards to his monitor, if you actually play games, WHY wouldn't you have a 2ms refresh? (had mine for like 5+ yrs now)

I didn't have to download any theme to be able to set this setting on win 7 but I tried it anyway and had the same FPS 58-60 no less

The gears of war theme unlocks new options in Windows Apperance. :P

.. little confused cos I didn't think it needed unlocking.

Maybe it depends on which build of Win7 you have.

Getting good feedback from people in-game, they getting 60 fps, better results in pvp and overall better game experience.

This is the easiest method I can provide to "tweaking" It aint going to match the mofos that get in-deep and dirty with thier machines and strip everything and push everything to the max to get 110% performance in legend of mir.

lol the guy has zero idea about clocking. and back when dual core was the word, still had no idea about the system or the hardware.. he cheats, always has on EVERY 2.3 I ever played, expect to see him banned on here, you want me to quote this post to you? He can't play without cheating..
