PB drops

alright. it was all well and good when the server was crying out for items but at the moment theres no point boss hunting as pb is by far the best droping area ingame.

also price of weps / items will soon be worthless

just a suggestion - make weapon & book drops about x10 more rare than they are now.

add-

hero , requim ,adamantine neckys

add 8trigram, beakta , hagma , Spirtreformer , holytaowheel, bokma braces

omaspirit .taeguk, noble rings

but add them at like x5-10 more rare to drop than power,titan,violet ( I use these as an example because there not flooding the market like 30 weps currently are.)

I don't think 30 weapons/rings/books need changing again, it's a mid rate server every single person should have these items as a minimum.
The 35+ items and 38+ spells I agree should be rare, (unsure if they are in dropfiles for PB but pretty sure they will be albeit rare).

Took me 2 weeks solid in PB doing lvl 39 to 41 on euro to get a thunder ring, which I sold for 60M, shows you how rare they were then

Once refining is in the prices of weapons/accessories will rise enough to still make them good drops.

Drops were probably intended to be flooded, adding them to PB also gets people leveling for the patch that has been coming "soon" for about 3months..

Once next reboot is done alot more of the drop files will be tweaked, OSR's etc probably will drop from fox's/Orcs.
Atm as it standards everyone has a 30 wep etc and that probably isnt a bad thing with the new patch being realeased soon, probably was babyhacks intention to flood it with mediocre items

Reboots are not needed to add new drops, what happens when a drop file is adjusted in that any monsters that have spawned before the new file is added has the old drops.

It normally takes a day or two for the new drops to kick in as there are still old monsters on a map that need to be killed before the new ones spawn with the new drops.

theres was a good amount of 30 weps.. but not EVERYONE has one.. theres still LOTS of people around with 26 weps on. and with refining coming soon.. and people will get bored of PB there will be few again, so imo these drops shouldnt change...

The only way id be upset is if loads of 40/43 weps came flooding in... as people are saying 30 weps dont need to be rare... 40/43 and even 36 weps should be moderatly rare

People might get bored with hunting the same place once they have had some drops but BH did say that all the maps will have different drop files soon. SO they can go try out somewhere else when they bored with PB

Forgive me for this buy why would we want to hunt some awful areas clearing all the mobs just for them to respawn and kill again so we can test if the drops are sorted. Didn't you claim you would do your updates in reboots now to avoid the ManBearPig situation again?

Meh, stop complaining. Who care, level 30 weaps aren't overpowered or anything. These PB drops are the best thing that's happened to the server in a long time because people actually find it fun at the chance of getting a cool new item, rather than before when absolutely nothing dropped.

If you don't want too, don't but you'd clear them if you want too get drops, if you don't want drops don't clear the areas and wait for a reboot to properly test, it's your choice to clear the mobs?

I'm sure he said he would give warning before he updated the files so people knew there would be lag spikes incoming, rather than shouting and doing it straight away (may have missed a post since he said this)

(I have since changed the way in which I edit the drops and have had no other issues when reloading)

iv had OSR drop from BBD real ES on 1st floor yesterday so PB items are now junk they should have been that way anyways.

IWTS and KH are the most pointless bosses, iwts can be good for benes may end up with 3-4 after 2 iwt spawns but nowt else, KH wouldn't even bother, KS/IZT/DD only worth killing.

I havnt been able to read the entire thread because i only have a few minutes and wanted to put my two cents in, so i appoligise if this has already been mentioned.

The PB drops will fall in price rapidly as everyone is hunting there, and people are only hunting there because they are worth selling or more cost effective to hunt for their chars than buy them. When they items drop in value so much they are no longer worth hunting, people will stop hunting them and the price will rise slightly again until eventually after a few ups and downs it will plateau and find a price. These items will never be worth nothing because they will be used in refines, as i am sure a lot of people have already pointed out as it is common sense. I wouldnt worry about these items being dropped a lot. I am bored of PB as it is, and im sure others will be too when the price drops enough.

Besides you never can tell what will happen with drop changes. BH seems to be working pretty fast, and aside from Stonetemplegate things have been well balanced and just what the server needs. I have a lot more confidence that babyhack knows how his changes will effect the server, not to mention that he is active in listening and taking on board peoples comments or replies to them with reasoning.

Drops have changed a lot since last night as all afternoon I have only had a great axe, plat ring and claw necks drop from west gorge or town map. Should I hunt in lower levels for better items or doesn't it matter and it's all about luck?

Nothing was changed in relation to drops last night.
Remember people drops are still based of luck and random, it's not going to be the same every hunt.
