Oh herrow there.
its me again!
so ive given it some thought and would like some feedback and opinions on the following:
Hide/Moonlight - these 2 skills seem to randomly work against certain things and not against others. ALL ranged mobs seem to completely ignore hide and moonlight the majority of the time, which is absolutely wrong. the only mobs which should see through these spells in bdd for example are - wedgemoths(which also reveal you from hide as well as paralysing you, the annoying bastards)
i also think that its fair if the melee mobs in here have a chance of seeing through it but maybe not everytime, like a 50% chance for it to work against them, maybe lower(but thats not the issue really)
bosses i think have always been able to see through it, so yeah thats fine.
at the moment to get through the first ghoul room on my wiz, if its rammed i have to have a warrior take aggro of all the archers, or lure them from the door. otherwise i get near the door and get hit by about 20 archers(which have a very fast attack speed, faster than usual i think) which keeps me flinched whilst i spam sunnies (cant even cast shield and if i do its down before i move)
on my sin i have the wonderful moonlight spell, which seems relatively useless in bdd. if it worked against archers tho it would be nice, the melee are handleable. but with our low hp... and yeah low ac we just get battered and its sunpot spam(it does seem to work a little bit but i still end up with at least 7-10 hitting me which is still painful) ... before you say use agil bracers and agil spell, it doesnt make a difference with 20 archers spamming you.
Also doors like izt for example, youve just ran past about 50 statues and guardians and are about to get to the door when 4 archers start hitting you. you hide and they carry on, youre getting flinched and slowed, then you get surrounded by the guardians and archers. which cain your low health an ac.
making moonlight work would not make it an easy ride for sins. we still have moths which can unhide us, which are faster than us walking in stealth.
tao - again the same issue. although deva and shinsu can be used to mitigate the damage.
oh and on top of this. theres always that one archer that likes to grief you and stand in the door.
make hide work against these and it gives taos alot more use in bdd and gives sins a bit of a buff which anyone will tell you, they need at the moment.
There seems to be alot of arguments/complaints about taos new deva commands!
Personally i think they're really good and they're very much needed. luring on a tao used to make them an easy kill and render their pets completely useless, it was very irritating having played a tao.
I think what is needed may not be a change/remove the commands but to make Hide/Moonlight lose aggro on ranged/deva's
if hide and moonlight worked better against ranged it would give the deva a bit of a counter... once hidden if poisoned again, obviously the deva would start attacking you again. but at least hiding/moonlighting would give you a chance to start running again. also with other classes, warriors, wizzies and archers, you would really love your friend the tao hiding you against that enemy deva, so you could chase them again til they set their deva on you again. just adds a bit more to pvp in the ways of teamwork. instead of a tao being able to shut down a melee constantly with no way for them to stop it.
any feedback on this would be appreciated as i dont think the hide mechanics are something which have been discussed. which is surprising as it is so hit and miss.

i still dont think there is anything wrong with the way deva works. i just think there should be a way to counter it.
Entrapment should lock onto the mob you targetted last (this spell is so pants anyway sometimes that it should at least lock onto the target) this way warriors could run around holding the spell and entrap the deva, it wouldnt be too op because the tao would still have the chance to hit the warrior when he stopped to cast entrap. (puri the deva)
maybe give wizzies the ability to TU the deva. they shouldnt be able to TU shinsus.
TU work rate isnt every hit anyway.... and taos cant level their deva (so its no real loss to the tao but useful for wizzies who are fighting against said tao) .
shinsu arent the issue in pvp at the moment as theyre slow, so its at no loss to anyone if you cant TU a shinsu, and its a bonus to the tao that has spent their time levelling it so they dont lose it in 1 spell(which is kind of unfair, and if its really bothering you you can eshock it)
archers - static shot and laugh at the poor tao who had deva following them.
sins - moonlight(make it work against ranged/deva)
maybe make deva Trappable, and make Trap have a slowing/curse effect on the mob(this would lower the attack speed of the mob but not stop it from casting) would also make trap a bit more worthwhile using on other mobs like archers if it slowed their attack speed) the curse would be puriable by the tao. but it would be stuck in 1 place unless the tao recalled it... if you wanted you could even give trap a low chance, maybe 10% to slow other players(its cooldown would make it not so OP but it could add a little utility to sins, as at the moment you hit someone with flashdash ... maybe get a doubleslash which does less damage than a tdb and then they usually move away...
other taos - hide, make it stop the deva attacking. and make hide useful in actual fights!
i figured someone needed to post possible solutions to the deva issue rather than just moaning that its OP. and im being completely unbias.
