If I was BH I'd have gave up with you lot a long time ago,
how can he be motivated with the server if on a Dailey basis he's being accessed of helping certain guilds, turning blind eye to cheaters and ninja nerfing drops and mining? Then putting up with aggressive opinions from total idiots, if it wwaste I'd have ****ed you all off and closed the server down let you go to a new server and get lure into a cash cow server for it to loose its appeal fast and then turn ****,
they tried to give you all a long term euro feel server, now I know alot of you didn't have hairs on your balls when euro was about and never played it, you were born into high rate servers and tbh how you found out about Mir still baffles me, but the class of the new skool post euro Mir players clashes with the old skool euro players opinions on an ideal of what Mir shoul be, now coz of this no matter what way Sam and bhs seesaw tilts, they get spikes up ther arse off the players, it's a split community with split opinions an will meet be happy,
then you have the people say he's helping guilds like tko coz we have (or had) 2 heaven armours 2 43 weaps some of best gear and skills in game, how can he defend against that? When it's isn't true, I've witnessed most this stuff drop from bosses and unless he's timing dropping stuff ok floor perfectly right or rigging the bosses, it's a stupid conclusion, yet he's getting Agro for it! Tko killed almost every boss every spawn worth killing till late and had nothing for majority of spawns, throw enough **** at the wall some of it sticks, we got lucky, why would he even help someone? If anything he'd help team as those lot can pay him big dollar for items n skills, yet they are still sevearly under skilled (In all ways) ad geared,
then moving onto getting blamed for turning blind eye to cheaters, what coz the ONE person you suspect of cheating isn't banned? Maybe because he isn't cheating... It he would be banned and believe you me there will be nothing more than bh wants than an excuse to ban swamp to shut you fools up, but he's not gonna ban someone who's not cheating because you want him to, this isn't the 1500's and he's not a supposed witch, we ain't burning him.. You're just gonna have to deal with the fact he's faster and better than you, I mean look at the stupid video org posted man soon as toobad popped on screen "omg look at him he's cheating too" then second he fks up n gets hit you say he's not, you just jump to conclusions,
wothout this kind of stupid Agro towards the gm MORE would get done to server rather than having to filter thru **** UFO videos and stalk players etc etc

Plenty of char's in game with reasonable kit, so it must be dropping somewhere! Having 0 decent items when you kill 1 DD a week isn't something to moan about. Kill it 30 times a week and you might get a decent item and deserve to get one.
There is far too much negativity on this forum and unrealistic expectations.
The only gripe I have is the XP rate. When you get to 43/44 onwards and the exp rate changes. Level 44 to 45 being over double the XP for 1-43 is demoralising! I want to go to hell cave, but if I leveled constantly for the next 6 days I still wouldnt be 45. Bring the XP in line with level 1-40 and bring the CAP on hell cave down to 44.
People moaning about money - lots of money in game and not hard to get some either - at times I need to go cashing, but very rarely.
Remember that MIR is a 'grind' game and was never meant to be a 3 day slog to get to top level like WOW etc...
Give a realistic timescale on when the next Reboot is and advise what is changing on the XP? Are all level 44's suddenly going to be 45? Is everyone's exp bar gonna go up? or is it just gonna be easier to get to level 45 from the reboot?

The way I see it there are numerous reasons this server failed/is failing, I feel like it never actually took off reasons are
* Failure of wizard class, its been broken and useless not fun to play since the very beginning and no change even now 5 months in, the amount of users lost due to wizards being crap is a LOT I had many many wiz on my list and all of them apart from Evilwoman2 quit months ago, wiz being boring and lowest damage dealer on server!! made a huge impact on the user count.
*Archer class being added in when they had absolutely no idea what they was doing with it.... incredibly OP for first 5 months then nerfed so much that apparently no one wants to play anymore, so that's 2 classes fked up already.
*Changing the exp rate from 44 far too much the rate from 0-44 is just about perfect and should keep going in that direction not suddenly hit with needing 3X more exp than the previous lvl was a crazy idea.
*Super Rarity of certain skill books whereas others the same lvl seem to drop loads, there's a huge disparity between certain classes books and others even after 5 months still no FF,blizz, only one rage book among aothers whereas pois cloud lvl 43 book seems to drop weekly!!.
*Lots of content broken or pointless... things like lost ship broken map for ages still not fixed, took them 5 months to fix HP on BDD mobs and make boars stunnable LOL at this!! 5 MONTHS!! it should have just been like that by default from the start.
*Stupid amount of gold sinks!! literally everything you try to do on this server sucks your gold away!! its is not fun having no gold to do anything!! and it serves no purpose at all to have everyone only having 100k, I think this was one of the biggest failures of the server lots of ppl quit early because they were forced into having to spend hours making gold to just be able to do anything when they could be spending the time hunting or crafting, refining for 100k is absolute madness!! no idea where they got that idea from, its not important to have so much gold sinks its just anti fun and boring!!
*First 4 months playing with turricans AWFUL drop files, this pretty much screwed the server forever as so many players left you wont ever get ppl come back once they leave that's it.
Im afraid to say im being realistic here, this server is done now it did too many things wrong from the start its important to have things right from beginning and not change things constantly every couple of weeks!! once people leave they leave for good generally ppl wont give it another chance as they were let down the first time around, I cannot see the user count going anywhere but down from now on.

Stop with the rare skills moan. FF was always really really rare except on high rate new skool servers that took yr money and ran. The exp rate after 44 was to slow ppl down to give the team time to get new content ready or so they seemed to say.
To me this means the server was launched before they were finished. This has meant all these adjustments and changes that are a big reason people get fed up.
Hindsight is always perfect but launching a beta with all chars 40+ clearly stated to be wiped might have helped a lot. But then most people just level like trains til they 40 and ignore the rest of mir anyway

Rare skills on a private server barely surviving like this one is a bad bad idea... you should not have super rare skills on private server because ppl do not play long enough to get access to the skills!! Will just end up like this is now end of the servers life most ppl quit and yet still they didn't even get to use/enjoy key spells for their classes lol its madness iv been saying it for months and months ppl WANT skills to use!! its boring without the fun spells and look where we are at now ... user count dwindling ppl quit because skills are so ridiculously rare they don't have chance to get them they seem non existant so they quit move to another server where they can enjoy it, rare skills yes but unattainable?? 5 months in and certain spells not A SINGLE ONE HAS DROPPED! that is game breaking and boring!! no one wants to Grind for a spell for 6 months lmao its ridiculous were past that stage now as servers just don't last long enough to cater for these super rare skills.

I don't see how it's a troll post, he is right, you are a bunch on whining sods "this has been nerfed i can't play" "i can't kill this" "people have left let's do this" "this doesn't work" "your update sucks" that's literally 5 replies from the three threads i've read today. So no, I completely agree i'm surprised BH hasn't thrown in the towel. Because this section is infuriating to read.

The "whining sods" are the die hards who've stuck it out, some of which "donate" to help keep it alive, we have a vested interest in its survival.
Doug trying to defend letting banned players restart is pure troll b/s. its undefendable and a blight on the game.
As for BH's motivation for the server, its to make it the very best it can be, same for Sam. ignore the rest its that simple. Most game forums dont even bother with reply's.
Expand the Team if you've made your workload to large, lomcn is a community site im sure theres plenty of able peeps willing to help.
Just remember if no one whines/complains about anything, NOTHING EVER GETS CHANGED

The main issue is negative feedback is louder than positive feedback and remembered/echoed much more. This is the case in every community, not just Mir. Also doesn't help that every gaming community has those "special" people in it that you can just tell were dropped on their head as a young'n.
As long as you're equipped to deal with it all mentally then you're fine and you'll be a better server owner for it. Or be the other type of server owner who simply doesn't give a crap about the community and doesn't care what they say, there's that too.
