Something that has always annoyed me about mir is that when I'm typing in guild chat I'd like to stay in guild chat instead of having to type " !~ " every time, it riles me!

Worth of a suggestion topic I'd say!

At the start of Ace is had the last chat command used saved, so when you typed a message again it would send the message in the last chat you used, it was so much better tbh but people moaned about it and it got changed.

Aye this is exactly what I think could improve the server!

I don't see the problem having the feature and all these wee things add up :)

Official servers have chat mode buttons so you select 'Guild' and it will auto type the !~ when you hit enter
and so on

We did have this functionality at the start of the am2 project... I removed it however, mainly due to complaints and I myself couldn't get on with it... 14 years of typing !~ felt natural to me lol.

I don't want it "remembering" where I was last speaking, I would much prefer buttons to keep me on certain modes lol.

I thought there was buttons to the left of the chat window that did this?

Happy with it as it is tbh. Really don't think this needs looking into.
A large group of guilds use some type of teamspeak, it would really be an investment of time for very very few people and even then more than half of those few are happy with it the way it is.
Ever since euro mir I have always tried to PM people using / on any game. lets not change a habit of a lifetime.

i got use to it on AceM2 was a great feature. dont see why people cant get use to it again.

one of the many more modern features AceM2 had that was removed when Chronicles came about. (cant think of the rest but there where many :P)

Apparently KylerStern speaks on behalf of the majority

Considering the game has been open for 11months and not a single person has mentioned it until now i can safely say that my presumption is a calculated one.
You have offered your opinion, now move on bud.

Im not saying its a good or bad idea, just an idea thats not worth the time investment.
Instead of 149 people getting used to something new and unnecessary cant 1person (you) get used to something old and perfectly functional?

I see this as the only valid argument against, if of course you mean coding time. If you do. You're right, time could be spent doing "better" things but on the other hand little adjustments like this (albeit may not be so little when it comes to fixing the bugs adding features can create) ironing out all the little annoyances (for some players) ultimately can make the game a lot more enjoyable, seem more professional and well made.

My point ultimately is that I see Chronicles as a professional server, you don't see things like spelling mistakes in NPCs on Chronicles like you do on some other servers or other little nitty gritty UNprofessional human errors.

This is just a wee adjustment I believe should be made.

I don't think Razarus actually understands how it works but i think if it was added back the argument against it could be fixed, if i remember people was getting annoyed by typing the chat command in game when they where already in that chat so the command would be in the message they typed.
This should be a simple fix right? If saved in guild chat and if the guild chat command was to be used, accept it?

As for coding time, they already have the code, all they need to do is make a slight adjustment.

Good point, an easy enough fix to make everyone happy. Never even crossed my mind that they would still have the code, so even better I see no reason why it shouldn't be added.
