Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to see the early game content made too difficult. Or have every dungeon follow this format.
But being able to breeze through a level 45+ dungeon with RTs and running passed everything straight to the boss is a bit dull.
Always, I mean it's not like you can resolve access to a server based on geographical location determined from your IP or anything -shrugs-
Who is this mapadale you speak of?
Always been a thorn in my side but any chance of reviewing the ways in which KRs and caves/dungeons work?
My proposed idea would be that KRs are locked as default (including after a server reboot!)
In order to unlock the KR this would require a certain activity to take place, though could be...
What I always find frustrating is that the majority of dungeons and caves can be RTed through without any trouble, the floors are so empty you can just run through and make it to the boss without any work.
I always preferred the kings room being locked either behind a kill wall or a task. No...
Unless you're travelling a massive distance you will still be within the same geo-ring fence for your IP range. Locked IP does not mean you can only connect from the same router in the same house.
For instance my IP range would flag as Lancashire, UK. If I attempt to log in from any IP within...
I always viewed Assassin as being the PvP class, their skills greatly mirror this. They will never be comparable to a warrior BUT should still deal the highest single target damage out of the melee classes.
Assuming you live locally it wouldn’t be an issue. IP lock doesn’t restrict you to a single IP but rather a geographical location. It would check the registering IP location against the login IP location, if the variance is too high it would refuse access.
Coupled with 2FA so you receive a code...
A solution could be to use IP locked 2FA? Not sure on the tech required behind it for something like a game but this is how all of my corporate devices are protected from unauthorised login.
Would instantly cut down on people sharing an account unless they had access to the same mobile phone...
It's quite possible that we would see a launch night of up to 500 people, when I hosted Archons DL on my server I had almost 1k unique downloads and over 140 people use my .torrent in the run up to release.
All depends if the community are still interested in playing and what other Mir 2...
Kinda agree with this, without the stability of a licenced server people tend to be unwilling to subscribe like the old days. In fact the MMO market has pretty much shifted away from subs with the exception of WoW and FF14 to name a few.
I would like to see a subscription similar to what Jamie...
IMO and this probably wouldn't be of major benefit to the server in terms of financials BUT I would offer a three tier subscription service.
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Each would be a "subscription" (doesn't auto renew) each sub would give perks such as % increase on EXP, % increase on gold drop...
It was a nightmare, he even use to buy up loads of resurrection pills and share them out to his guild prior to any PvP battles, he must have thrown thousands and thousands into the server before he was banned for attempting to recall his payments.
It allowed a single person to basically control...
Working all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday so will be a slow start for me.
Been many moons since I've pushed for top in Class and top 10 on server.... tempting though!
Will see what happens come launch, I can’t imagine I’ll be getting 20 Mb download speeds when theirs 300++ other people also trying to download the files at the same time. But here’s hoping 🤞
I think this is fine in the first few months. But taking Chrons for example, people stop showing up for things. Discord soon becomes a bit “so and so will just come and wipe us so why’s the point” and before you know your guild size is starting to shrink from under you because one guild is...
Are you not concerned about bandwidth / cost to distribute? Also how will this fair for those outside of Europe specifically China who have to use VPN to connect and download.
If you’ve used your entire bandwidth letting people download the game (how many gb is it these days? 4-5?) you’re...
