So you can use the iil/iix files with the editor? Do they load faster then? I have some files in iil/iix format and some in wil/wix. Haven't tried using any iil/iix files for the maps yet so wouldn't have seen if their is a difference in loading times at the mo.
yeah so I've found. The old grpahics card I was using is around 5 years old, so it does work with older hardware lol. It is a bit slow at times, usually on bigger maps once you have a lot of tiles/objects placed I find.
Anyway, this is the last screen I did before the old graphics card blew up...
Have tested this on 2 pc's so far:
First PC:
Windows Xp Home SP3
Intel Core 2 Duo ghz
4gb DDR3 Ram
250gb HDD
ATI Radeon 4350 1GB graphics ; Work's great with this. Am getting about 190fps currently :)
Second PC:
Compaq Evo
Windows XP Home SP3
Pentium 4 1.7ghz CPU
768mb sdram
ATI Radeon 7000...
Maybe that was my intention, after all I wanted it to appear as if the building was close to the edge of the cliff. Why do you think the editor allows you to set front and back objects? lol whole idea is so that you can overlay objects to give a 3d angle on things.
cheers, i just figured it was worth seeing what i could do with maps, and release any that people like lol. if more people thought that way, we could see some new stuff pretty soon for mir 3
Thanks, still a lot to do with it, but getting there slowly. should have it finished in a day or 2, gets tedious sitting here too long working on it lol
On topic, have started again from scratch. Still aiming for the same kinda idea just re-doing it slightly different this time. Only about 10% complete so Joe don't start with the negativity please.
