I've only heard the rumours regarding the out of whack levelling system and the availability of newer Spells.
From what has Been said though here the a-speed figures don't match and gale items can be gemmed
The problem with going with a direct Euro clone is the state gameplay it offers, Acem when I started offered a faster paced more exciting version of mir than we used to have. Something imo the game needed to breath some New life into it.
I would say that's fairly outdated look for a game that has evolved so much

Leveling as a tao has been wrecked and wizards have become sitting ducks to the mass dc/a-speed.
So no it would be a level playing field or a move in the correct direction.
Personally as a Tao I find it utter **** to play again.
I posted a tao on here because it was more fun and the gameplay felt fluid.
Unfortunately thechanges have taken it back to asimilar state feeling that we had in euro Mir.
Not checked since the patch, the issue sounds identical to what we have where the Res Window vanishes.
We have a tao recast the spell on the player to show it again, never had any further issues
We have a group in guild that does it with 4-6 people.
Our regular run is 4 3-4 Wizards a war and maybe 2 Taos and we do a phase very 10mins.
What is the res bug you speak off?
I don't think the poll was useless as it gives a clear outcry against the patch.
Some skills definitely needed the changes implemented while others didn't, as Skyline has now said this is a global setting (Something that may need to be recoded I'd imagine if they wanted to have unique calues...
