    The further you go back, you get into memory management and even 8bit memory address limits. I don't know but I'm assuming it will determine what actually will work.

    I know it sounds weird but I need to run some Win ME/98 software on a Win 10 machine. Has anyone managed to do it or recommend anything ? Win 10 pro has its own VM capability but I'm not sure if its any good for this. Any idea or thoughts ? Cheers

    The patcher is fine and if you get the whole client you won't suffer black maps where you're missing tiles etc.

    Same problem I'm afraid. It the error, theres a full stop (period in your lingo) after the error path. Is that punctuation or is that part of the error ?

    I disagree. Have player enabled switch for the info with the default as on. It creates interest and something to aim for as a new player. Old lags can turn it off or simply ignore it.

    Changing the resolution to 1024 in the new config ini sorted my problem. I can now log in.

    Now I get failure to patch and then using launch, a black widescreen area with flashing cursor. I have to use alt+tab to let me get mouse out of the client area and close it down. Think the config ini is specific to one of your pcs rather than a generic one for any user.

    Ok, replacing the installed mir2config.ini with yours above worked first time. I left the test one alone.

    It was only when the patcher finished the first time after full download. For the record I'm using Win 10 Pro, fully up to date.
