I was originally running on W7 and its far too slow. The game runs at about 20 FPS, pvp was impossible. I switched to XP with ACPI and I'm now told I'm "too fast", so my only two options are 1) Play on W7 and be slower than the majority of the server, or 2) Play on XP and actually run the game...
Its a euro clone, there isn't exactly a lot of bosses. Making changes to drop files for every boss in game would take a couple of hours at the very most.
DevilKnight's C# server is looking well at the moment. Still in closed beta but its something fresh and the files are very smooth, much unlike heroes imo.
To say no skill is required to play mir would mean a first timer who has never played the game before would be as capable as someone who has played the game for 10 years.
Nice paragraph tho.

Yeah no doubt, I agree 100%. A servers rates mean very little to me if the content and features required to hold my attention are there. What DK is trying to do at the minute with his server is something fresh and thats exactly what this game needs.
As far as all this LR HR talk that is going...
The Chronicles team have done a great job with their files no doubt about it. That server alone was the reason I got back into Mir after 3 years and I'm sure it was the same for many others.
However, just like a lot of others I quit after that honeymoon period was over because the server is...
OP did you play euro in 1.4? It was taking people a year to hit level 40. Come 1.9 people were doing it in weeks, why? Because of updates.
Your argument is ridiculous.
Spawns in fox cave need lowered drastically
Spawns in PT F2-F3 need doubled. Much less mobs than F1
Right & Left Guards attack speed is far too high, 2 of these mobs and its impossible to move.
Electric shock doesn't work on ranged mobs.
