    Are you singing / playing into the microphone or using it to record music from an open speaker output ? If its from another source, you'd be better off playing the music into your pc via line in or similar, depending on your pc. Fan noise would then become irrelevant.

    My sig shows mine. I'm actually only getting 50mb at the mo due to some crap or other in the line. Of course, they say there's nothing wrong but the engineer said I should get about 78. I pay about £30 a month from BT.
