Are you still experiencing this issue? If you managed to fix this by using a dongle instead of having a hard wired connection then it clear implies that you have a faulty/out of date network adapter?
Does your network adapter have the latest drivers available for it?

And under your system tab what version of direct x do you have installed?
Also what mode are you playing in windowed or full screen?
And for a sanity check can you attempt to ctrl+enter into the opposite mode... e.g. if your in windowed, ctrl+enter into full screen.

On the skills front, we have all of the above plus more already coded, but all need testing and balancing before being introduced to the server...
I imagine AceM2 1.2.2 will be the skills patch, but its not been completely discussed as to which skills are going to be in the patch.

I think this can be some what true for older versions of Mir running the old graphics engine, but your correct it would have the opposite effect for AceM2 and having an older outdated computer will result it lag on this server where you may have experienced speed on older out of date servers.

Sounds like you have patched your mir2.exe... then gone back to using your old renamed mir.dat file...
Delete your dat file, repatch, rename again and try again...
