Lets not forget the media shapes our ideologies and representations of situations. Now i presume that you found out about the tragedy through the television/newspaper/radio/internets. So after reading what had 'occured' you then based your opinions on the 'shock and awe' factor of what you had seen. this relates to the media therom 'moral panic' where people believe what they read.
I am not one to call anybody ignorant however you are looking at the disaster 2 dimensionally. This is really a scientific v theory argument. There is NO conclusive evidence that al quaida/ nor any other extremist group had ANY part in the events that occured.
Now this led me to watch mentals video, partially out of interest and partially out of the fact im a nosey git who likes to voice his opinions.
As any media student will tell you, when studying the course you have to open your mind to every situation so i decided to watch. I did lable the video as crackpot at first and why would anyone believe this cr@p?.
However after watching 2 hours of video (im a student im allowed to spend 2 hours watching it) with my media class, we all came to the conclusion that judging by irregularities and annomylies, you could not conclusivly suggest anyone outside the us had any part.
This leads you on to the other argument - What proof is there that the us did this to itself?.
Well the answer is plain simple and blunt - Lots.
I respect everyone whos activly taken part in this discussion and has voiced their opinions on such a tender, eggshell subject, however we all have our own opinions and noone can change them.
For the record, im not and america hater i love america we go nearly twice a year and are thinking about buying a place over there, however America attacked itself on 9/11 however sickening it is to say.
Watch the video with an open mind and even the most american american will question their thoughts.
