Before anyone starts, I'm not new to this, I've made a lot of servers and I have run a lot of servers. I'm thinking of making a live server, not a free one and not one that costs the world. Read below:
People who like mir2 are probably looking for a new server they can enjoy their experience on. I'm looking to open a server on a completely dedicated machine in a data centre that will allow everyone to connect with no lag, not just some home machine.
Instead of offering it for free, I would be charging...the price I have in my mind varies from 3-5 pounds a month. In return I would employ GMs to keep up with events and issues - employed meaning paid.
What do you all think of the idea? Would paying put you off completely or would it give you that security that the server would stay online which is what I'm aiming for? I don't expect everyone to rush into to it so investment for me is compulsary, I'm willing to pay for everything for a year to see how it all advances.
