Its almost holiday time and there will be kids online so language like that in a shout shouldn't be happening.

That is the least of your worries.

If you put your child on a game. block shouts, guild chat, private chat and local chat.
group with them and chat via group mode if your not in the same room..

There's worse things going on in the world than a child suddenly learning that shits exist.

all true but show limited understanding. I wouldnt let a kid on the internet unless sat next to me but it happens a lot.
Cheap babysitter bad parenting.
when yr talkin in the same room you can say what you like, standing in the street shoutin abuse at someone is different, this is like standing in local supermarket screaming your head off. If you were in the supermarket listening you'd move away fast and think he was a nutter. You wouldnt let yr kids near that.

Sugar coating your children from the simplest of things such as bad language is the least of things people should be worried about.

99% of children know these words already (If you think i'm wrong, then you're deluded) where your parenting comes in is whether or not they know it's wrong to use such words. I've seen this kind of language when I played when I was 12, and if I ever used it I got a bollocking from it.

If you want to sugar coat your kids from everything, then you're in for a very hard life. I'm surprised you're only just coming across this? It's been part of the online world forever, whether it's games or social media. If you don't want your kids seeing this, then I recommend you build a box to keep them in, as between phones, games, iPads and whatever else is open to online these days they're going to see it.

Personally, i'd rather my kids see simple swear words that I can kick their arse over using, as oppose to them seeing videos and information in the news of people getting beheaded.

But I have to agree that you can't shield your kids from the internet. Teach them right or wrong and let them decide their paths in life.
