These are the AceM2 source files before the project moved onto chronicles. They are not as up to date as the crystal files but hopefully someone can get some use out of them.

heh, i remember AceM2 was going to be released right up until chronicles happened, whole reason i never played chronicles. how come these are being released now? just curious, at the time they were interesting i guess.

I guess there’s no reason to hold onto them, I haven’t really been active much on these forums and at the time chronicles was up so in respect to the other project members I’ve held onto the files. Looking at the current state these forums don’t seem as active as they once were, so I figured if these can contribute in any way then why not release them.

Thank you for releasing them. It was always said that at some stage it would happen, but I think over the years faith was lost in seeing a release. Honestly loved the AceM2 files so I'd love to see someone do something with them that holds true value. Respect, CP.

sorry if im being a downer, i was super enthusiastic about these files until chronicles happened and I guess if they were released at the time instead, it might have made a real difference. 2024 however, Crystal all the way for me.

hoping if someone does do something with these they do try add the classes chronicles had or assassin/archer atleast.

was a long time coming shame it wasnt the updated version but atleast its a start!

I did continue work on my own set of files which did add the assassin and archer, the assassin class was fully implemented but archer still needed a bit of work but its functionality was there. They also included many other features that aren’t present in these files, I do have them on one of my old disk drives(I hope) just have to do some digging.

As for the differences between these and the apple files, these include all the missing monsters, spells, etc that would have been from euro as well as support for the new map types that were in the shanda client. There’s plenty of custom stuff that was added as well.
