uBlock Origin + Sponsorblock is all you need. no need to purchase premium. Youtube/Google already make enough money as it is im not giving them mine.

lol what? I have youtube premium for 5.1 euro/ month. There is no better deal than that, getting yt premium is a no brainer

It's 11.99€here or 17.99 for the family plan but I wouldn't pay them 5 either. It's a **** company and they're swimming in money.

I agree with what everyone says but for me personally, I use youtube music while I drive (download playlist so it won't consume resources) and even on my PC, so it is a really really good deal for me because else I have to use a youtube converter to download music and make 2 sets of playlists 1 for pc then put them on my phone and make another playlist and it's just a waste of time when I can pay 5.1 euro, it's like buying a pack of cigs, and again this is for me personally. But if I had to pay double or more I would say **** you to youtube for sure....

On my phone I use ViMusic which grabs the music from youtube music or regular youtuber.

You could check out NoScript, I used to use it long ago before I switched to uBlock Origin but it (uBO) now struggles on some sites or is completely ineffective. Some pages need to be reloaded (after first loading from clicked link) to block ads.

I recall now, there is some change in Chrome browser engine that was expected to put some or all adblockers out of business. maybe that is now happening.

NoScript is rather radical and it might work where other blockers fail. It is just a bit pain the way you need to allow this or that to get web pages to function. It used to have more relaxed option where top level domain names would be allowed to some extent and then you could set more strict filtering as needed.

In uBlock Origin, if you select to block something via Pick, it seems it can only block one picked item, if you pick another one, the first is unblocked.

I may have to switch to browsers that offer so called 'reading' option, where it cancels all graphics, media.
