surely staff can flame wherever they like, after all it's their forum, they set the rules, not you, if you don't like it leave, it's not like you're the only member, i'm sure the community wont miss one person

and basically van what you're saying is, because you didn't get a warning.. you shouldn't have been ignored.. right

a man goes on a killing spree, what you're saying is, he shouldn't be arrested because he wasn't arrested for killing the first person, hmm no

the amount of ****e you have been posting is rediculous, it may not be as idiotic and lame as what escluge, mrj, craig^ and webby have been posting, but it's still ****e, and you still needed punishing

So basicly what you're saying is, because he's staff he shouldn't abide by the rules, and should be special... right
A priminister goes on a killing spree, what you're saying is he shouldn't be arrested because he's high up, hmm no.

I wasn't that bothered i was just stating the fact that he shouldn't be allowed to flame because we're not.

No, all forums are not dictatorships. Not all forums have staff who are to be exempt from the rules, they're members just like anyone else, they just have more control over the other members.

LOMCN is structured in the following way;

Admins control the entire system, and oversee the forum and its users. Naturally the rules don't apply to them, but staff will be very unlikely to be seen braking them (it is afterall their system, designed the way they want it - what reason would they have to deviate from a system they designed and like?). Rules are there to ensure the forum operates the best it can. Admins are there to lay and maintain this structure (rules). An admin will only 'break' a rule if it is nessacery to ensure the smooth operation of the forum.

Smods are obviously, moderators with the ability to moderate as they please. Admins lay rules for these aswell, depending on how close to an admins vision the smods have (amongst other factors). Obviously its not nessacery to make rules on banning users from Sweden, if both admin and smod already hate ppl from Sweden and therefore ban them without question (far fetched example).

As for a democracy - first realise in order to be democratic leaders do not have to be elected, it melee needs to be a system of government 'by the people'. Were/are the admins not MIR players like yourself at one point? The administration is made up of 1/2 people who have found the position for a contribution of some sort, and the other 1/2 players/developers that have progressed to the position through recognition of their exceptional skill in moderating/people-management/other-skill/combination. This should be considered democratic.

Also, we don't just RULE and thats the be all and end all. There is a feedback section, where complaints are looked into (ask the smods :P), giving you power to reform our administration. A brilliant example being the complaint resulting in the 'ignore' of a handful of GoT users. Is this not democratic?

so basically what alot of people are saying is, an admin.. creates a forum, for some reason it get's incredibly popuplar, so he decides to enforce some rules, he bans a few people for breaking them rules, then he breaks on himself, he should ban himself from his own forum.. WRONG
