Almost left 2 weeks for server started and Chronicles still talking about "cheat"

Mornings for all,

The server has start almost 1 year(2014-02-07) and the player still here talking about cheat. Useless and pointless. The main problem is that the GM's should have a person for anti-cheat. Like this person always post some news or a player name who look like using cheat or not normal. Ether on forum, should have anti-cheat section and post list of cheater name.

New "cheats" are created over time. its a battle that will never end, 1 day 1 year 10 years. same story.

just be happy they ban the right people.

cheats occur on every game m8.
However i think if there was a 'your cheat, your banned' policy i dont think there would be many who would risk it, but then again all the talk about peoples running speed and tweaking etc i think took the attention of actual cheating.

Chronicles has one of the most robust Anti Cheat setup of any server. It has Bot detection which as far as I'm aware is completely unique to the files. No other files do it. However as Razarus explains it's a never ending battle and one that's very draining to try keep on top of.

It's not a case of having an anti-cheat person and frankly I can't really think of a single person I'd trust outside of the chronicles team who'd even want to do it. It's a boring and draining role and the guys do their best to keep on top of it

The guys are constantly adding new tricks to stay ahead but they juggle that with adding new content and juggle it all again with 40 hour a week jobs and family. None of us are perfect but we're trying to do the best we can.

You guys can help though. Actually report exploits instead of using them (yeah that'll happen..). Record them exploiting if you can. Record people cheating, don't just come to us and go x player is using cheat ban him. We can't and won't ban on your word. If you have access to cheats send them to us. It's much easier to stop cheats when we have access to them (but not impossible if we don't)

The active Mir scene in Europe is tiny lets be honest, only a fraction of that tiny number work on servers and they're all working on their own things. The Chronicles team isn't really going to grow unless more people who used to develop files come back because all the ones left are taken. I do believe we have the best of the best and any other server of this size would of collapsed months ago. Chronicles has been through a lot and it's not even been a year.

But hey here's to another year we're no were near done.

I'm not even sure what that means or how it's supposed to help but hey thanks?

P.S. The team are working on banning people for exploiting and cheating. They're also extremely busy with real life things, that's never an excuse just a fact. We'll do the best we can always and if that's not good enough or acceptable you are welcome to leave (though we'd be sad to see you go)

it would show the rest of us your active in this area and they WILL get punished , also it would stop all the B/S speculation.
Also take em off the rankings, delete em from chronicles history.

I've played a few online games in my time and not seen any that publicly show banned accounts and/or characters. Have you any examples?

because i became busy irl and couldn't dedicate anymore time to it, which wasn't fair on the the rest of the team, so i left.
