Alternative to messing with the other 3 classes to balance Advanced Potion Mastery

I asked Jamie outright last night on Discord and he didn’t confirm his position on APM. Also wasn’t willing to confirm if he believed it to be OPed either

Probably didn't want to argue with people about it. Don't blame him really.

Compare a warriors healing with APM to a sins with ABV and heal buff, ABV on a 75 sin probably heals for around 3-400 per second on average, plus 20 from skill and pots on top of that.

Take this scenario - If I hit with a blade storm and damage around 1000, they hit me for 1300+, heal 400+ from ABV plus a 110 pill and 20 from healing skill (dark conversion? dno haven't played sin in a while). Sins either need their health reducing or their damage reducing as I don't feel they should be able to face-tank a warrior. The only way I win against a sin is if they are a lower level and I can use beckon/assualt (and hope they don't have puri pots!).

So in the game of Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock, who should be the counter to Warriors?

Sin should be very high DPS as IMO discounting exploding pets insane 1 hit anything damage they are support to be the class that counters a warriors high HP and defence.

Sin > Warrior > Wizard > Taoist > Sin

That's roughly how I see it, not in terms that sin should only be able to beat warrior but that sin should be the natural counter to a warrior. Warrior the natural counter to Wizard (high HP and can get closer for longer due to defence), Wizard the natural counter to Taoist and its pets and Taoist the natural counter to Sin.

Altering APM will damage the ability of a Warrior to tank once we enter the level 80+ content.
What class are you holo? What experience do you have playing a warrior at 60+ with APM level 3?



Which warriors are hitting for this? Do you have any screen shots or proof?
As a 60+ warrior stacked full DC (over 200) or full element against an enemy with 5x ele disadvantage the best FS I can hit is around 550, BS caps out under 300 per slice and DR hits around the 450 mark.

I'd swap the tao and wiz, warriors can beckon and 1shot taos (Bstorm hits twice, one to remove CL, second kills) while wizzies are normally higher level and MS massively reduces damage. Taos kill wizzies as they can purify shield/renounce. Wizzies kill sins by tempesting everything so the sin can't get close.

Least that's how I see it. :)

Agreed, aside from the odd wild card, at similar gear/skill/level it feels very much:

Sin > Warrior > Tao > Wiz > Sin

But that doesn’t mean that a Sin can’t kill a Wiz, or a Tao kill a Warrior it’s just how the game design favours the situation.

I don't know any warrior that can survive 1 pet explosion, by comparison they can take a much longer beating off a wizzy.

Couple phantom advantage and you're golden. Explode does about 2k5 at level 75, wars have 2k+ hp, so it's very doable with a bit of resist, just like you need a bit of wind resist to survive tempest spam.

Or beckon 1 shot. Or run around avoiding pet as it's slow AF.
