Probably going to get a lot of stick for this post from a lot of the old school people who think change is bad.

Would it be possible to remove the requirement for amulets from the game and just make Taoist spells cast without them?
They seem like an unnecessary part to the game. I have thought this since I first started playing Euro, I have to use them to cast my main nuke and pretty much most of the other abilities including something as simple as teleporting my Shinsu and deva (which takes 5 amulets a piece).

It's already bad enough that the most effective place I can solo hunt is somewhere like RMV with my paltry damage at level 45 but then to have a hunt cut short because I can no longer attack is just irritating. I wouldn't mind if the trade off was that using amulets made our skills do decent damage but that just isn't the case.

I'm really undecided on this.

Part of me wants them to stay because that's just how euro was.
Also we don't really have any hunt costs considering we can basically live off pot drops with no worries on repotting (Haven't repotted on my tao levelling since last week)

The other side is I'm fed up of running out of bag space early because I carry 10 Ammys :D

Maybe a simpler solution would be to have amulet bundles or higher dura amulets?

Could just make them the same weight and have them have 100000 instead of 500 per ammy. :D

We need to start a tao thread and list all the problems in there tbh so the GMs can see how **** there are. Im thinking of just rerolling a wizz im lvl 42 tao and i dont have deva yet but i cant solo any bosses and i just get raped even in places like ST 7th which is a noob area, cant kill an IWT its all abit of a joke really.

**** for solo hunting, a warr could just walk to an IWT and smash **** out it, a Wiz will just trap it behind a wall and destroy it in a few minutes while Taos get ****ed over by an IWT FFS.

Lvl 40+ Taos are much weaker than the other 2 classes so its unbalanced surely.

Either that or im just **** :# which is probably more likely.

you already get 500 shots on an amulet more then any other server. 500 uses will last for ages as it is, no need to even ask for more. i dont know why people are saying taos are ****, they look fine to me, they just have their own roll in the game, no point having every class do the same damage. taos excel in pvp and are needed for most bosses. if u add the damage of ur pets/poisons/sfb their damage isnt too bad, taos become good once they get poison cloud and can solo alot more efficiently. a tao could solo pretty much anything just with poison even if it does take ages.

I see where your coming from but then you say "They look fine to me" make me question if you play one?
I really don't see a problem with the amulets at the end of the day we should be very thankful for the 500

i said this the other day - maybe add some auto amulets to special armour like heaven and mir or even dark armours.

they are just a pointless item i hate them lol, they only weigh 1 but i still think they should be rid.

yes its how it was on euro but lack of support was a part of euro.... do we want that aswell? also no archer or assasin. they are probably the reason most people play this server so lets not keep all the shitty things from euro and just keep the good things.

no i dont play 1 but doesnt mean my points are invalid. ive played a tao pretty much exclusivly on every other server. my conclusion comes from pvping against them and hunting with them on here and they seem ok, obviously this server is different but the damage they deal seem ok. main point was they dont need bigger amulets, and each class has its specific role in game. to me it seems pointless removing amulets, its not like u even have to change between them and poison manualy like on euro. just seems people are running out of things to complain/moan about lol, just my 2p

lets give all class's all spells that will make everyone happy? and destroy any reminisce to the game this server is supposed to represent?

It's this kind of thinking that stops beneficial changes happening. They aren't fine as it is. All the classes should be fun to play and be able to solo efficiently as well as add a meaningful contribution to a group. Stating that Taos excel in PvP does not mean the class is fine, the game has numerous aspects to it. Yes a tao can solo kill anything in the game with poison but how is that fun? Its not engaging. As others have said Euro while it had its merits also had its flaws.

Warriors excel at face to face combat and wizards excel at ranged combat. Taos are some sort of hyrid but we seem to pay a heavy tax for that fact and don't excel in anything. We are like the forgotten ginger step child.

lol ye seems like this is what some people want, if u dont like ur class re roll it simples. after they re roll im sure they will complain about that class too. there was reason it was called 3 heroes

You are confusing difficulty with quality of life. Difficulty would be bosses with decent AI not getting trapped on corners and requiring a group to kill rather than 2 players. Things like no amulets don't make the game easier they make it less tedious.

Why what mystical powers does poison cloud do? It hits a mob for 14 3 times if your lucky enough the mob will stand in it, and the green poison then lasts 5seconds.. yeah great help in Soloing an IWT.

been pissd of with wizzys getting competely made useless I made a Tao the other week and was in shock that you don't have to swap your poisons and amulets over manually its all automatic. wtf is that about.
