Kaori said:if you know how to use registry "with care" you can go there and look for a few things...
run regedit
in the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions"
expand that key
there should be 3 or more extensions...
I have 4... "Sun Java Console", "Research", "Related", "Windows Messenger"
in the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects"
I have 2 of those... and both are related to Acrobat
there are other keys to look for.. I can't remember what those are...
the best is to run a couple of adaware/antiwhatever programs...
you can use msconfig to disable "startup" programs and then deleting things will be easier...
don't forget to unplug the net... safe mode is useful.
Seeing as the antispyware didn't help, most likely he needs to disable all at once (wich the scanner does not), as in fixing the registry keys, and removing all the startup programs. A good usefull program is HijackThis wich you can look for on www.download.com and if you have some basic knowledge about windows, you can work out what to remove and what to keep.Kaori said:I am not talking about reg seeker... download m$ spyware remover, though any good spyware remover wld do probably. its called a browser hijack. you get it some time after you installed msn plus+.
uninstall plus+ and it may go on its own accord, but use spyware remover anyway.

I used hijack this and deleted a few BHO strings that shouldnt of been there and now its gone
Thx for help anyway.
Plus whenever i install a program like msn DA or woteva i always make sure i have " add toolbar or sponsor" unticked, so dont know how this 1 ogt on, prob my lil sis muckin about again -_-
Yes it does. I have installed MSN Plus TONS of times and only the first time i installed with the toolbar (uninstalled it and it was gone yes you are right about that and i didn't say anything that it was wrong), BUT all the other times i had unticked "Install MSN Plus with the sponsor program" and there was NO toolbar or any other spyware with it. Also, did you get the install from www.mess.be? Because that's the one i'm talking about.Farril said:i think ull find ingel it is directly linked to plus+ and it doesnt matter if u dont accept advertisement spyware when u install. i never said m$ spyware would definatly detect it, the first fews i tried searching on another user it didnt find anything. untill it did. i took it out, came back when i rebooted and used ie. yet as soon as i took out plus, it didnt come back on any user acc. 3 of my friends also got this, all took out plus and it went. wierd eh?
Then isn't it logical that it came from another source?Farril said:i make sure i neva keep the tick on. and iv had plus installed for ages, yet it only came up a few days ago.
