There is a new normal, which means the old normal has changed, this happens with any game that has patches and updates. The benefits then were those who killed those bosses (so yourself in this case) had the best drops and therefore the best gear. Now there is a patch/update so those who kill bosses now are going to now have the best gear. When 2.0 arrives it will change again, this is how mmo's work.
This
I understand it is a little unfair for older players but there is no way the server and the drop rates could have been left the way they are (not with the plans I have to grow and update the server)
Items need to drop for the server to grow, as what players class as rare now, will not be rare after a couple of patches. 2.0 (I know but I am working hard on it) has over 150 new items.
This thing about skills dropping and being ultra rare on Mir is different from any other MMO that I know of. Most other MMO players are given their spells as they level.
If the drop rate was to stay the way it was then players would not stay around (the player count is up a little and so are new accounts) Is this not a good thing.
At the end of the day we all want a fun server to play on, have a bit on banter and relax (the leveling grind is hard enough for most players)

Cant have much fun now unfortunately considering all my guild have quit due to how all these drops are being gained so quickly whilst we hunted for so long, unfortunate really, oh well.

Well this will only benefit the server as a whole IMO.Cant have much fun now unfortunately considering all my guild have quit due to how all these drops are being gained so quickly whilst we hunted for so long, unfortunate really, oh well.
I hate to use the word quit or announce it really, especially on the forums because it just creates a bad atmosphere and I want the server to succeed, that being said the drops changes killed any motivation for us to play and I doubt we'll be back. Don't worry though, I am sure those 5-10 extra casual players it drew back were worth losing 10-20 consistent players.

As far as Mir servers go I doubt I will play another one after this, over all I have very little complaints about the game since I enjoyed it for the time I played. I also rather wish the fact that Curse10 are not playing wasn't even brought up, just responding the peoples speculations as to why we are not playing though.
