Another eiserver.exe i found

I dont have the 1.4 client yet so I tried Euromir.

I got in ok and also made a char, when I go to enter i get the error message:

"The requested address is not valid in its content"

I have tried the other Mir3 exe`s we got with server files but it just crashes.

Are you all using the v 1.4 client files ?

ok i'm in game if you use the client from the server you need to rename the mir ini to EI.ini to run

I did that m8 but as soon as I boot up the game with the mir3.exe from server files the game crashes.

Have you altered the ini file at all besides the IP and server name ?

Euromir Mir.exe lets me in, make a char, get to lobby, but gives the error when i go to enter.

Are you using euromir client files ?

Cos the mir3patch.exe might be different in client v1.4 compared to the euromir one.

Has someone got the details of the entries needed in SQL for making a char please ? maybe I cant get in cos my account is not quite correct..

ok found another app that lets you edit the !setup.txt file without decripting it lets you set all ips server name start lvl start gold etc...

are you running sql & server or on 2 pc's
As I am trying to run it on 2 maybe that is why icant set it up

bah... sounds like i'm the only one still stuck on the main exe :s... Anyone wish to send me already done files? so i can just do ODBC + Databases. Then it should cut down my options of whats wrong.

Hi guys... looks like i got further with this prog Night posted... Is this last bit normal.. I.E. 127.0.0.1 isn't ready.

K heres a recap of what ive done so far

Cleared out the SQL database and started from scratch
Made the sa user login like we used to in old ei
used the pass NIUZICAI ( the one already used in !setup.txt )
Followed the video for the SQL database details
Made a D:\Data\ folder and made sure HeroCommon path was pointed at it
Added all the login id's in SQL security section but used NIUZICAI as password
Made sure each had access to its own database plus made sure the sa login had global access and all priviledges.
Checked thru all the TBL 's in all the databases making sure ip's and server name said 127.0.0.1 & ktest.

To make an account i added my login and pass in the TBL_ACCOUNT making sure the very last FLD_SECEDE says N otherwise the account isnt valid
Also added my login to TBL_ACCOUNTADD and in Game1 i Did the Same to TBL_ACCOUNT (but i dont think itwas realy needed tbh)

In the the ODBC added everythig as show previous but used NIUZICAI p/w

LoginSRV i used

DSN ~ Account
login ~ sa
Pass ~ NIUZICAI in both parts

DbSRV i used

Game ~ Game
Login ~ sa
Pass ~ NIUZICAI

also

Account ~ HeroCommon
Login ~ sa
Pass ~ NIUZICAI

this all fits the un-edited !setup.txt. i did change the !servertable.txt tho to say ktest.

<EDIT>Forgot to add i used the the tool to decode mongen.txt1 as ye man Soul below mentioned and stuck it in the real mongen.txt this was more by accident than intent, playing about with that decrypt tool in the Envir folder i tried both encrypted and unencrypted mongen.txt out of curiosity n it paid off. i guess i wasnt the only one lol

i get gate open with both server files plus the 3 files in the eiserver.rar

Can login and make all 3 classes with both version of the client files

I can get into the game with the euro client but get kicked with the incorect client version error.
If i try to use the supplied client i get past the gm message and the ok button but get a black screen from then on and have to alt-f4.

Stuck now, could it be the txt and map files from wolfy not matching the supplied client right. Seems to be now ive got so far, because of the mixture of different file sources things arnt happy.

Will try again when the torrent finnishes, i cant get any further than above

i done basically same as you just said except i changed my server name and my db' passwords instead of using theres.i also get in game with the euro but like you said bam kick out.the 1 supplies with server bam black screen but however i did still have the orig korean files still on pc lol for updated matters.anyways i can get in game and play a bit but it is all buggerd.armours wont go on some graf glitches and just stupid lil things like that.however im still playing with the euro side and mix matching to see what i come up with.if i figure it out ill be sure to post it up for you m8.

I dont get magic gate ??

When i log into game all I get is a black screen.

When I close game down I can see that
rungate/gameserver &
gate30/selchr disconnects

This is using euromir files with ther server Mir3.exe

If I use eurofiles with euro Mir3.exe i get into game but it tells me I have incorrect client version and shuts down.

So why do the gates close depending on which Mir3.exe I use ?

When i use the official mir 3 exe i get exactly the same >_<. I'm currently downloadin them chinese files from bittorrent that was on Night's site.

ok m8 the way i got the magic gate to open was i had to have mobs spawning.so what you do is this: open the De-encrypt.exe the 1 with the pencil writing on the green tablet.then you wanna hit the button with a B on it to open a file.open file MonGen.txt1 then hit the D button to decrypt it.then you wanna copy and paste all that into the regular mongen.txt pad.save it then start your server.that is how iv done it so i hope this lil bit helps.

PS.i didnt have to re-encrypt it so you can leave it english.
